Danish Sophie Bille Brahe’s Spring and Summer jewelry collection for Weekday is now out called ‘Ensemble’. This is her second collaboration with the Swedish jeans and retail store, following up the AW12 collection. All the pieces are made from sterling silver and there are some amazing rings as well as a super cool cuff that I would like to grab my hands on (not on the picture). The rings are amazing and you can combine them in several ways. I dig the fact that she has made the entire collection in thin sterling silver which will make the pieces long laster.

The Twosome necklace
The ‘Twosome’ necklace from Swedish jewelry designer Efva Attling is currently on mind and I can’t let it go. It is such a beautiful necklace and I love the idea of the two rings linked together. One rounded ring, and one squared ring with the words ‘Amor Vincit Omnia’, Latin for ‘Love conquers all’. You can find the gold one here, and the silver one here. Efva who is currently living in New York, opened her first store in the states a while ago, matter in fact in fashionable Meatpacking in N.Y.
Daily Obsessions
The Hoop earrings
These hoop earrings from the Balmain S/S13 collection have been seen in a lot of editorials lately and probably more to come. The hoop earring-trend is definitely one of the strongest this spring when it comes to accessories. And of course, Balmain has made the utterly coolest pair. Have you been looking for these popular earrings and haven’t found them? Well, now you can get them here.
Wish List
Here are some stuff on my mind that also qualifies on my wish list for the moment. I am all about tank tops right now, even if it’s a bit too chilly for it. But I stack it underneath my cashmere knits and hope that I can start showing them off soon. These two comes from T by Alexander wang, beauties. When the spring starts to come I want to change my knitted scarf to a thinner one, and I wouldn’t mind this leopard silk scarf from Saint Laurent Paris (just in at My Theresa). Shoes that I want; suede sandals in navy from Gianvito Rossi (love these) and the embellished fur slippers from Céline… Accessories; sunglasses from Prada and stack rings from Dries Van Noten (love the silver/gold combo). And I need to update my perfume collection (as well as my make-up) and wouldn’t mind trying the Dries Van Noten for Frederic Malle perfume and getting myself some Chanel make.

Wangs first show
Nicolas Ghesquière was a genious who literally took Balenciaga to a whole new level in his fifteen years of service for the brand. I was skeptical at first to Wang, he is great of what he does at hos own self-titled brand, but I still found it very odd when they announced him as the creative director for the franch brand. Anyhow, I must say I am slightly wrong. I think this collection is surprisingly good. The Balenciaga silhouettes are still there, but in a different way. It’s elegant and raw, just like Wang’s own designs. I like the knotted silver bracelets and details on different pieces, the amazing deep green fur jacket and black suede boots. By the way, It’s going to be so exciting to see what kind of handbags and shoes Wang can design for Balenciaga that makes every fashionistas heart turnover (Ghesquière’s cash cow was the Motorcycle bag, and still is…).
Hey papier!
Oh, I want this one! Perfect carry all for an everyday use. Go get it here! From Balenciaga.
Fashion week look
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
Get the look
I totally fell head over heels with this previous editorial, ‘New York’ from the latest Vogue Paris. That is why I had to throw some things together to re-create a mix of the looks in the editorial. I just love the idea of taking on the Grunge-style in a bit more sophisticated way. Like pairing slippers with a classy trench coat or an elegant suit jacket in satin. Or giving the pleated/checked pieces an lighter feeling, like the Dries Van Noten shirt and trousers in checked wowen silk. Mixing heavy materials like wool and denim, with luxurious ones like silk and mesh, creates a flawless and very wearable look. On top left you’ll find: trousers from Theory, silver metallic jacket from Rochas, crepe and silk-blended satin tuxedo jacket from Guilietta, suede waist-belt from Alaïa, slippers with fur details from Céline S/S13, socks from Falke and leopard gloves from Alaïa.
