On my wish list for the moment: A micro-fringed chain skinny leather belt from Versace. How cool? You can find it here.
Totally obsessed and fascinated by shoulder bags right now. I don’t own a really nice shoulder bag. In my closet there are only two shoulder bags – a Rika Star bag and a Alexander Wang Donna bag, and I got them years ago therefore I’m not using them at all. I want to get me something that reminds me of the Blvgari bags above, a bag with a cool detail and a chain as a shoulder strap. I’ll update you when I find the one…
Red is such a difficult color, at least for me. I don’t think I own anything red actually, sure I have got tons of burgundy accessories and pieces but no red ones. If I would implement it in my wardrobe I would definitely go with a bag. Red to denim, black and white are a beautiful combination, as well as red and melange grey. Above you can see three stunning pieces: Valentino Va Va Voom flap bag, Valentino studded clutch and Valentino Rockstud bag.
There has been a lot of black and white graphics at New York Fashion Week this season, and Proenza Schouler is no exception. The exccentric duo behind the brand, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, has been working with tweed bouclé (with implemented leather) and guipure lace in this collection, a more sophisticated side that hasn’t been seen before. We could spot a lot of laser-cut details in the collection, both dresses and shoes. One laser-cut material looked like a fusion between leopard and hearts and made a beautiful pattern – a pattern that also was printed on the leather clutches in the model ‘The Large Lunch Bag’ (love the name). For this collection they have implemented fur details in the bags – we could spot shearling and black pony-hair (again!) that created a lovely combination between the coat and bag. There was one piece that was just absolutely amazing and that was the chain dress with hundreds of thin threaded chains all worked together in modern armour. Over all the collection was amazing and I love the idea of a slight more sophisticated vibe over Proenza Schouler but still remaining the playfullness and the utterly cool looks.
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
My heart just skipped a beat – this gold rectangular box clutch from Lanvin is amazing. If you feel the same, you can get it here.
I picked out some of my favourites bags from the Céline Spring and Summer leather goods collection of 2013. Even though I am a tiny bit tired of some models, I totally dig the new clutches and the beautiful colours. As I mentioned before, light yellow is an huge trend for spring as well as the baby blue colours and hues. The one that really rocks this collection is the black fold-over shoulder bag with gold details.
Here is a little gift guide for some fashionistas! For the fashionable jet setter: Del Toro ‘New York’ slippers in light grey suede, a Smythson note book called ‘Brunch Lunch Suppers Dinners’, a Balenciaga travel luggage bag, a croco embossed cosmetic bag from Alexander Wang, the most goregous shoulder bag right now – from Céline, a pair of hippie stylish sunglasses from Victoria Beckham, a camera from Edelweiss and some fragrences – these ones comes from Byredo and Grace.
For the golden girl: A golden choker from Chloé, set of gold-tone rings from Maison Martin Margiela, a sheer blouse from Acne, a golden jersey from Stella McCartney, a lovely reptile clutch from The Row, a YSL clutch called ‘Belle de Jour’ (with the old monogram), a super duper lovely fringe bag in metallic from Givenchy and a pleated skirt in creme from Giambattista Valli.
I can’t say that I am a huge fan of Emilio Pucci bags. But browsing around at Luisa Via Roma I found this particular one – the ‘Marquise bag’ – which I actually kind of dig. I am obsessed with finding a shoulder bag that is quite classic but with a modern twist. This one above is a good candidate. I Like the chain-strap with the leather detail on the shoulder and the classic big buckle in gold – and the size is perfect. The ‘Marquise bag’ is available in red as well, and in an inka-tribal embroidery for this fall and winter.
Maison Martin Margiela bracelet. You’ll find it here! Go get it.
