Yesterday Balmain launched their first hair products. According to the brand itself, the Balmain girl’s signature hair look is natural and shine with health. In this brand new line you can find everything from a misting spray called ‘Silk Perfume’ to ‘Session Spray’ – a spray that will (according to them) in an instant create those mussed locks and curls as the models on the brand’s runway has. Well, super exciting! I am not a big fan of hair products, but if I do use them they has to be natural (organic) and create that effortless look. You can find the products here.
These hoop earrings from the Balmain S/S13 collection have been seen in a lot of editorials lately and probably more to come. The hoop earring-trend is definitely one of the strongest this spring when it comes to accessories. And of course, Balmain has made the utterly coolest pair. Have you been looking for these popular earrings and haven’t found them? Well, now you can get them here.
The new issue of Numéro Magazine hits the stands this week and the cover features Aymeline Valade by Richard Bush. I find it so beautiful. Numéro always transmit a certain feeling that I can’t put my finger on. A good feeling of course, since it makes me want to run down to the store and get the magazine. I couldn’t find any editorial pictures from it yet, so I have gathered some favorites from recent editorials underneath. First out: Wild by Gregory Harris starring Missy Ryder, Wide Angle by Anthony Maule starring Janice Alida (I love that Miu Miu coat from the S/S13 collection…) and Céleste Ulysse Fréchelin.
So Balmain was just stunning as always! The collection breathes glam and lux – the two factors which makes Balmain fantastic. It’s mainly runway pieces and not so much ready-to-wear, but I loved the shoes. The stitched ankle boots in suede and leather were gorgeous as well as the knee-high suede boots with the sharp red stiletto heel.
Fabolous editorial in the March 2013 issue of Vogue Spain. Anna Selezneva is styled by Géraldine Saglio in amazing pieces from Saint Laurent, Balmain, Céline, Chanel among others… Love the first look with the red fur sandals/slippers from Céline, the velvet pants and the slouchy hat. The editorial is photgraphed by Giampaolo Sgura.
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
Speaking of Balmain, the Pierre Balmain S/S13 collection looks real nice. I haven’t spotted the pieces in stores yet (more than the tee’s), but I can’t wait to see more of it. Graphic white and black (which is huge right now) is mixed up with romantic, yet modern silhouettes. The collection is inspired by French glamour and the style of iconic Jeanne Moreau, who was a French actress in the 60’s. The campaign and lookbook feature model Anna Selezneva photgraphed by Karim Sadli.
Just spotted these pics from the Balmain ad campaign S/S 2013. Manon Leloup is looking absolutely stunning in pieces from the S/S13 collection. The campaign is styled by Joe McKenna and photographed by David Sims. I am very much into the light natural make-up by the talented Lisa Butler as well as the simple and effortless styled hair.
Speaking of those amazing hoop earrings from Balmain…. If you can’t get your hands on the fabolous oversized pair from Balmain, there are some nice alternatives. Like the braided Bottega Veneta ones above. You can find them here.
Love the styling by Morgan Pilcher in this editorial from Vogue Australia February 2013. The huge loop earrings from Balmain are amazing! The earrings seems to be on every bloggers mind and wishlist for the moment… Can’t wait for the summer and to stroll around in waist short tops paired with gorgeous pants, very late 80’s and very ‘Miami Vice’! The editorial is photgraphed by Benny Horne featuring Cameron Russell.
