I am in love with these pictures of Joan Smalls for Monday Weekly China. Joan is styled by Maher Jridi in Balmain S/S13 pieces paired with Alexander Wang gladiator heels, Repossi and Cartier jewelry, Saint Laurent, Lanvin and Haider Ackermann. White look
Spring has (almost) arrived! The sun is out and I just want to stroll around in light sheer pieces. These hoop earrings from the Balmain S/S13 collection have been seen in a lot of editorials lately and probably more to come. The hoop earring-trend is definitely one of the strongest this spring when it comes to accessories. And of course, Balmain has made the utterly coolest pair. On my mind
I am all about soft colors and hues for the moment, and I prefer it to style it with washed black and adding a popping color – like the cobalt blue one here above. On my mind I have Balmain – above you see not only embellished ankle heels from their S/S13 collection but also the light powder pink shirt, the black dress and the beautiful retro sunglasses. The hat comes from the collaboration Acne Studios did with the italian brand Borsalino for this season (so cool, it’s available in yellow as well…), washed out denim jacket from Weekday (best budget line), cobalt blue loafers from Acne, tassle earrings from Eddie Borgo, see-through pvc bag from Valentino, studded leather clutch in black from Valentino as well and a cool detail for your bag or luggage – cobalt blue tag from Little Liffner that you can find here.
Karmen Pedaru
If there is one model I just love for the moment, it is the Estonian model Karmen Pedaru. I find her look timeless and when I spot her in everything from editorials to street style, I jump high. She is not only delivering and shine on magazine covers but also on the streets after the shows. Above she covers the latest issue of Flair Magazine photographed by Katja Rawhles. In the inside story Karmen is styled by Sissy Vian in a mixture of glam tailored, graphic and textured attire by the likes of Francesco Scognamiglio, Alaïa, Balmain, Chanel and many others.
Bohème
The new issue of Numéro Magazine hits the stands this week and the cover features Aymeline Valade by Richard Bush. I find it so beautiful. Numéro always transmit a certain feeling that I can’t put my finger on. A good feeling of course, since it makes me want to run down to the store and get the magazine. I couldn’t find any editorial pictures from it yet, so I have gathered some favorites from recent editorials underneath. First out: Wild by Gregory Harris starring Missy Ryder, Wide Angle by Anthony Maule starring Janice Alida (I love that Miu Miu coat from the S/S13 collection…) and Céleste Ulysse Fréchelin.
Balmain FW13
So Balmain was just stunning as always! The collection breathes glam and lux – the two factors which makes Balmain fantastic. It’s mainly runway pieces and not so much ready-to-wear, but I loved the shoes. The stitched ankle boots in suede and leather were gorgeous as well as the knee-high suede boots with the sharp red stiletto heel.
Vogue Spain
Fabolous editorial in the March 2013 issue of Vogue Spain. Anna Selezneva is styled by Géraldine Saglio in amazing pieces from Saint Laurent, Balmain, Céline, Chanel among others… Love the first look with the red fur sandals/slippers from Céline, the velvet pants and the slouchy hat. The editorial is photgraphed by Giampaolo Sgura.
Fashion week look
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows.
