For this upcoming Fall, black and white are an huge trend – in pattern as well as in looks. I just love a monochrome look, as you may have realized by now, and to follow up a monochrome look is gorgeous to do it with a pair of shoes in the same color. A white pair of shoes is quite hard to find, but for this Fall season there are going to be a lot of cool alternatives. Like the ankle boots above from Altuzarra with the silver buckle detail or the pumps from Gianvito Rossi. All shoes from Gianvito Rossi Fall and Winter 2013 except for the top ankle boots from Altuzarra Fall 2013.
The boots I am dreaming of for this fall comes from Louis Vuitton AW14. What’s not to like about Nicholas Ghesquère’s first collection for Louis Vuitton? I have a weak spot for the girly side in the collection along with the funky vibe all over the collection. Even though ready-to-wear pieces are just too cool (turtlenecks, flappy big collars on short jackets, a-line form skirts and dresses… the list goes on), I have set my mind into the accessories – or to be more specific, the shoes. They are absolute perfection in my eyes; timeless, funky and yet so very chic. A thicker heel and round shape front makes these ankle boots wearable in so many ways. More or less, the ultimate ankle boots.
The first look out on the runway from the Isabel Marant Fall 2013 was this one above. A very french, roch chic, laidback look with layered linen tanks and tops (with beautiful studs as perfect details), a pair of suede and leather leggings to a fabolous classic shearling coat. The looks were simple and cool, pieces to love and embrace in your wardrobe. I love the outerwear like the shearling coat as I mentioned, the black wool coat and the short black jacket with pony hair lapels. As for the shoes, I am not jumping high for the strapped ankle-boots (but I have changed my mind before). But I did like the black knee-high pony hair boots. Very Marant. She has created pieces that reminds me of her early days, when a look was completed with a jersey top, a pair of great suede or leather trousers and a perfect jacket. Of course topped of with a breezy and cool scarf.
Simple, sexy and fierce looks at Altuzarra Fall 2013 show. Black and white monochrome styles domimated the collection and were accompanied by fur coats and fur accessories – like the fur mittens (that we also spotted at the Alexander Wang show). The buckle details on the boots and the ankle shoes, well the total look of the shoes reminds me of the Guess Marciano x Elin Kling collaboration. Take a look for yourself here. Anyway, it’s a great collection for this fall and I am excited to spot in in editorials and on fashionistas for this fall.
Okey, so I have found the most perfect pair of ankle boots and you’ll find them in Hedi Slimanes first shoe collection for Saint Laurent Spring 2013. They comes in black suede with a 90 mm heel and you’ll find them here. Classic but laidback cool for an everyday look. Simply the perfect combination.
Perfection kind of sum up these laced-up sude boots from Jimmy Choo. And I kind of want them… They are the typical Emmanuelle Alt/Geraldine Saglio type of shoe. Wouldn’t you say? Anyway, I use to think that if you have a really nice pair of shoes and a super classy and cool bag that you like, you can get away with almost wearing anything. Those two pieces are essentials in a great everyday look. I would add, the ‘perfect’ jacket though. It could be anything – a cool leather, an olive green army jacket, a fuzzy oversized coat or a perfect peacock jacket. I would definitely say that one of the top ten bags ever made is this one underneath, from Louis Vuitton and designed by Sofia Coppola. So if I must, hehe, choose one I would definitely go for this one.
I’m absolutely hooked on suede for the moment and I find it gorgeous on booth shoes, jackets, bags and in all kind of details. Above I’ve picked out some favourites – blue ankle boots, high heeled sandals in suede with pink fur details from Christian Louboutin and gorgeous black suede boots with silver details from Tabitha Simmons.
