You haven’t missed the CR Fashion book’s tumblr right? I love the CR site and pretty much visit it every day since Roitfeld and her team cover everything from editorial fashion to the latest Daft Punk album and the Cannes Film Festival. In her editorial cover Carine puts a twist on wardrobe essentials. With model Xiao Wen, Roitfeld shows one of the most classical pieces of all time, a Chanel bag, in seven different ways. I love the fact that no matter what style you have, you can wear this timeless piece to it – from punk to hippie. The editorial is photographed by Max von Gumppenberg and Patrick Bienert, and styled by Carine herself.
Issue 4 of Style.com/Print is now released and the fourth magazines is called ‘The Rule Breakers’. Style.com wanted to precise the drive behind punk and the spirit of it – ‘which has never been more important or necessary than now’. For Fall 2013 they celebrate the people who has got the drive to question authority, the rewrites of established codes within fashion and to strive to cause mayhem for fun. Inside you will find an interview with talented Christopher Kane, who’s pieces also are featured on the cover. Underneath I have gathered some photos from the editorial with Kane’s amazing pieces, mostly dresses, with fantastic embroidery and cut-outs. You can also caught an interview with Renzo Rosso, the Italian entrepreneur, who has a portfolio of Marni, Margiela and Viktor & Rolf – and co-founder of Diesel. Just a draft from the interview is this: ‘The latest brand to knock (on Rosso’s holding company) was Marni, but Rosso appears to have his eye on other prizes, too. He bid for Valentino, and rumors recently circulated that OTB was in talks with ex-Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière about launching a new house under his name.’ A smacked magazine for Fall 2013!
