A white shirt

Vogue Italia March 2013 Kasia Smutniak by Vincent PetersSince I spotted this editorial featuring beautiful Kasia Smutniak in Vogue Italia March 2013, I kind of been having white shirts on my mind. I am always looking for the perfect white color, model, boy-friend-ish, and so on, and this editorial didn’t make my cravings go away… Love the simple look with the hair in a bun, the sleek watch and the hoop-earrings styled with the oversized shirt. It is such a useful piece and timeless piece in your wardrobe so I suggest you invest in shirt that is classic. Underneath I have gathered some cool, and classic, shirts that are available online right now. From top left: cotton-polpin shirt from Band of Outsiders, ‘Reese’ cotton-poplin shirt from Equipment, oversized striped silk and cotton-blend shirt from MiH Jeans and slender star-button shirt from Acne Studios.

Watch it!

Emily DiDanato for Vogue Paris April 2013 by Giampaolo Sgura-1Emily Di Danato looks absolutely stunning in this watch-editorial in Vogue Paris April 2013 by Giampaolo Sgura. But, it was not her, but the watches I wanted to mention. Vogue Paris is amazing in finding beautiful, classic and timeless pieces for their editorials, and in this one you can see it is no exception. I love the Hublot watch as well as the Chanel link-watch in silver (the last picture). I love my current watch, and use it every day. Although I wouldn’t mind updating it with an alligator leather strap… But if I would go for a new one a would definitely want the Chanel one, or a Jaeger-LeCoultre (the Reverso is a favorite!).

Sporty spice

Harper's Bazaar Spain January 2012 Carmen Kass by NicoI really dig this super cool editorial in the January 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain. Carmen Kass is photgraphed by Nico in sportwear and traineers paired with beautiful fur coats. I love the combination of the unexpected match. I also like the idea that they have styled Carmen in luxury watches and jewellery, with the sporty pieces. Excersice in style right?

A watch

As you may know by now, I am always obsessing over editorials from Vogue Paris. Cause most of the times they have got this chic but always sexy and cool vibe all over them. This ‘Watch’-editorial is one of them. I just crave all the pieces in the story and, quite frankly, that is mainly what an editorial is all about. Anyway, back to the watches, a classic piece always rocks an outfit (which is obvious in this editorial), and investing in a piece could definitely be your closet saver any day of the week. Above: watch from Swatch. Underneath: Rolex, Audemars Piguet and Cartier.

Wish list

I’ve got some huge cravings right now, especially for a watch! Wouldn’t mind this Cartier Tank Solo Francoise in white steel above. More things on my wish list: a soft alpaca sweater from Vanessa Bruno – perfect to wear in chilly summer evenings, a great clutch in crocodile leather – these two from Nancy Gonzales are amazing (especially the one in blue) a pair of great heels like these from Nicholas Kirkwood and a pair of round-frame sunglasses. I’ve been looking for a great pair and these above are perfect, from Cutler and Gross.

Essentials

Self Service Magazine asked a couple of designers what they can’t live without, their everyday essentials. Camilla Nickerson, stylist, listed her Céline mocha mink oversized Crombie fur coat, her Trapeze bag in burgundy calfskin from Céline and her YSL fall/winter 2001 high-heeled and patent velvet loafers. In the middle you can see what Isabel Marant can’t live without, her fathers old watch. Nice huh? She got inspired of this one when she made a limited edition watch for her own label. The antique-inspired 18-karat gold watch will be sold in her New York store and starts at 9,800 dollars.
