Spotted some great pieces in the Balenciaga Fall 2013 Capsule collection by Alexander Wang. I am utterly in love with the dress above (as well as the boots) and I just love the girly shapes and the androgyne styling. The way of styling a dress over a pair of trousers is just so effortless cool and something I must do for the fall. I have a hard time feeling comfortable in dresses (always feels to girly in some kind of way) and by styling the feminine garment with a pair of slinky trousers will definitely make me wear it more. I am also a big fan of the way Wang has worked with mixing materials together, like satin, velvet and crepe-twill, all in the same hue is such a beautiful way of creating cool pieces – and nobody knows it better than Wang. Double thumbs up for the new creative director!

Wangs first show
Nicolas Ghesquière was a genious who literally took Balenciaga to a whole new level in his fifteen years of service for the brand. I was skeptical at first to Wang, he is great of what he does at hos own self-titled brand, but I still found it very odd when they announced him as the creative director for the franch brand. Anyhow, I must say I am slightly wrong. I think this collection is surprisingly good. The Balenciaga silhouettes are still there, but in a different way. It’s elegant and raw, just like Wang’s own designs. I like the knotted silver bracelets and details on different pieces, the amazing deep green fur jacket and black suede boots. By the way, It’s going to be so exciting to see what kind of handbags and shoes Wang can design for Balenciaga that makes every fashionistas heart turnover (Ghesquière’s cash cow was the Motorcycle bag, and still is…).
The Prismick
Kind of like this ‘Prismick’-shoulder bag from the iconic french accessory brand Roger Vivier. The brand’s current designer, Bruno Frisoni, took inspiration from the late Vivier’s huge love to create collages and designed bags with geometric panels. I like the patchwork detailed shoulder bag in blue velvet. It would look stunning to denim and black this fall.
Accessory report FW12: Bags
Since it’s soon to be fall I want to give you the ultimate bag report. I’ve noticed there are some major trends this fall when it comes to handbags. The shoulder bag is one of them and above I’ve picked out my favourites. From the left: Givenchy Obsedia bag, suede patchwork bag from Roger Vivier and a dark chocolate crocco bag from Stella McCartney. From the left row two you’ll fins Givenchy Shark tooth buckle bag in nude, Céline bicolor shoulder bag and the Boy bag by Chanel in blue velvet.
Another huge trend, that I myself would love to embrace, is the crocco trend. Regardless of the colour a nice crocco bag can elevate your outfit at an instant. From the left: lovely tote bag in navy blue from The Row, clutches from Nancy Gonzalez and chestnut brown crocco bag from Givenchy.
Is all about red this fall – red suits, red skirts, red blazers, red coats, red shoes and of course red bags. These above are my three favourites, from the left: Valentino shoulder bag, Tom Ford crocco evening bag and studded clutch from Valentino. And of course, the leopard print is always a classic. Love it on accessories and especially when it comes to bags. Jérome Dreyfuss has made the beautiful tote above on the left, in the middle: Christian Louboutin pony hair evening clutch (to-die-for), Valentino leopard printed shoulder bag and to the right the Va-Va-Voom large shoulder bag from Valentino.

Slippers
Slippers are the it-shoes for the moment and here are some of my favourites. From the top left: red velvet slippers from Charlotte Olympia, kitty embroided velvet slippers from Charlotte Olympia, red loafers with sequin skulls from Alexander McQueen, flower-embroided black slippers from Alexander McQueen, gold-embroided slippers from Miu Miu and black velvet slippers with sequin skulls from Alexander McQueen.

Slippers and fur
On my mind right now: fur and slippers. From all of the fall and winter collections of 2011 The Row is my absolute favourite. All the fur goes so well together with the non-feminine pieces. And I love that they have styled all the looks with black velvet or leopard slippers. This is how I wanna look in jan-feb, before all the beautiful spring styles hits the stores.
