I am super crushing over the bags from The Row Fall 2013 collection for the moment. They have got so many nice ones, and I love the models in the dark navy leather. I am seriously thinking of getting myself a bag in navy for the fall. It is such a beautiful color to black.
I just had to post my favorite looks from The Row Resort 2014 collection, which are quite a few. As you know by now, I am a huge fan of theirs (and their personal styles as well). As always The Row delivers. I love the hues and the colors, canvas-beigen, olive green, navy, light grey, and the up and coming color (that not only The Row showed, but also Stella McCartney and Louis Vuitton) — light yellow. For this Resort line, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen said they were looking at uniforms — of sailors, of Japanese workers, of school children — for ideas this season. The thing about the Olsen twins is that they have this amazing eye for fabrics. They make pieces out of the best of the best materials and combine these in beautiful set-ups, like satin and denim, cashmere and canvas. As we can see they stay put to what they love and believe in. For an example they have always highlighted the flats, ever since The Row’s very beginning. And of course, it is implemented in this collection, as well as the semi-long and ankle-long skirts. Well, it is true love as always.
I have got some specific items on top of my wish list for the moment. It’s a never ending story right? Having things you want and crave all the time? Well, I hope it never will end either. It’s nice to have certain things to ‘dream’ about or long for. Even though is just stuff. So much better with a vacation to long for though (!). But, there are a couple of things that I want, which I of course would like to share with you.
Eytys white canvas sneakers: these I have been waiting for a while! Hopefully I’ll get my hands on them next time I am in Stockholm. Céline hobo bag and python wedges: needs no explanation. I just need them. Badly. Acne Studios linen blazer and red mini skirt: the blazer is the perfect piece for me when to use as a jacket when it gets warmer. I have been eyeing the Célinen linen blazer, but hey, 2500 dollars for a blazer is waaay too much. So this is a really nice alternative. And the red skirt, feels very Vaccarello. Super cool and super chic. The Row ribbed sweater: the perfect rib and the perfect color. Dior pearl earrings: I just love these and the fact that they have pearls on each sides. Givenchy silk pleated trousers: silk satin oversized trousers would be a perfect investment this season for my ‘going out’ wardrobe. Repossi gold chain necklace: subtle and simple, the perfect everyday necklace. Chanel credit card holder: I need a new one. My wallet is too big and my current card holder is just, well boring, so I can’t get it out of my head that I want a new one. This one from Chanel is probably one I’d never get sick and tired of.
Every time on this specific period of the year I start to crave sunglasses. Along comes the problem of which ones to get (huge problem right…). Even though I think I have every shape – wayfarer, aviators, cat-eye, squared…and so on, I always want one more pair. For this season I have no idea of what I am looking for. I have been eyeing a pair from Céline but I haven’t found the right model. Underneath I have gathered some cool ones.
One of the coolest bag of the season is this hobo bag from The Row. A bit to bohemian for me, but as always the Olsen sister knows how to create the coolest bags. I would definitely go for either a hobo or a bucket bag this season. Two pretty timeless bags which have their revival this Spring. Not only seen in the Resort collection of The Row, also Céline showed off an hobo bag which was literally to die for as well as Dior and Louis Vuitton.
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are, as you know, the creators behind the brand The Row. For this show the sisters rented an empty Upper East Side Town house for showing their collection for friends and press. The models walked through an amazing staircase and into different rooms showing off the styles. As always, the collection is impeccable sophisticated. The models wore tax heeled mules in red and black, styled with quite dressed evening looks such as satin dresses, suit trousers, tailored coat and jackets. Throughout the whole collection we could see some Asian and Oriental cuts, like the satin and embroidered coat, the high-waisted skirt and the deep v-necked dresses. It is an amazing collection from the sisters as always, and after the show Mary-Kate said “Without it being easy, we wanted it to be easy” which pretty much sums up this gorgeous fall collection.
