Topshop’s more high-end brand, Topshop Unique, has been well-appreciated among fashionistas for almost 24 seasons now. Since the popularity of the line Topshop Unique is expanding and for next year there will not only be a Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collection but also a pre-fall and resort line. A selection of evening wear and accessories will be featured including georgette silk dresses and tailored jackets. As far as I am concerned, the first small resort collection that will be released in November, looks really nice. Simple, modern and easy pieces to wear both for an everyday use as well as for the evening. What do you guys think?

Casual
Today I wouldn’t mind looking like this – a very casual cool and effortless look. Just what I like. Jersey top from OAK, wide-leg trousers from Emilio Pucci, quilted Pindot blazer from Raquel Allegra, Superga sneakers in black cashmere from the collaboration with The Row (so cool, love the fact that they are in cashmere), chevron snake amure ring in gold from Saint Laurent Paris, oracle gold-tone cuff from Lanvin, yellow gold watch with leather strap from Isabel Marant and the A5 Papier tote in black from Balenciaga.
Wish Outfit
With some inspiration from the previous post I am dreaming away with this wish outfit. I would love to have these pieces in my wardrobe. Silk peplum top from Balenciaga, suit jacket with satin details from Alexander Wang, sheer pleated skirt from Noma, fur slippers from Céline, satin bralette in black from T by Alexander Wang, papier bag with zip detalils and gold rings from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga.
Hermès
There are some great pieces in the Hermès S/S13 collection. Among many I have picked out some favorites. The oversized leather jacket in lamb skin are one of them as well as the shorts in crocodile chiffre, shaded jade or cobalt. Hermès creative director Christophe Lemaire was inspired by a luxurious traveller on a journey in the East, which we could spot on the runway with the models carrying leather backpacks over their sheer dresses as well as the mosaic prints in different pieces.
El Glamour Viene De Paris
Stella McCartney FW13
Plaid is apparently one of the hottest trends for this fall along with the girly grunge look. Stella McCartney showed of a feminine, but yet masculine, collection in Paris the other day. She is the master of playing with silhouettes from the both genders – and implementing them into beautiful looks. I believe is not one of her strongest fall and winter collections. I usually jump high for her coats and outerwear but I was disappointed this time. I do like her over sized felt and wool jacket in plaid (above) but over all the coats weren’t mind blowing. Underneath I picked some highlights in details.
Victoria Beckham
I am very impressed with Victoria Beckham’s Fall and Winter 2013 collection. There are some looks that are quite predictable and that I am not that fond of. But, there were some looks that were just stunning! I absolutely love that we have seen more and more designers working with pony-hair instead of fur or leather since it give pieces a very luxurious vibe. Like the college/bomber jacket above with the chocolate brown sleeves combined with glossy black pony hair, or the black dress with short sleeves styled over a basic skirt. I totally dig the styling of the models hair as well – side-parted uncombed hair in a pony tail with a light naturell make-up.
The Row FW13
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are, as you know, the creators behind the brand The Row. For this show the sisters rented an empty Upper East Side Town house for showing their collection for friends and press. The models walked through an amazing staircase and into different rooms showing off the styles. As always, the collection is impeccable sophisticated. The models wore tax heeled mules in red and black, styled with quite dressed evening looks such as satin dresses, suit trousers, tailored coat and jackets. Throughout the whole collection we could see some Asian and Oriental cuts, like the satin and embroidered coat, the high-waisted skirt and the deep v-necked dresses. It is an amazing collection from the sisters as always, and after the show Mary-Kate said “Without it being easy, we wanted it to be easy” which pretty much sums up this gorgeous fall collection.
Fashion week look
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
Balmain campaign
Just spotted these pics from the Balmain ad campaign S/S 2013. Manon Leloup is looking absolutely stunning in pieces from the S/S13 collection. The campaign is styled by Joe McKenna and photographed by David Sims. I am very much into the light natural make-up by the talented Lisa Butler as well as the simple and effortless styled hair.
