Self Service Magazine’s ‘Daily Obsessions’ are on my mind for the moment. Shoes, bags and accessories – a perfect mixture of the things that give you cravings. The snapshot is taken by Columbine Goldsmith and Nickolas Lorieux.

I have just started with Pinterest (I know, soo late…). I must say I am totally hooked. After the incident with both a stolen laptop and lost phone it feels great to collect and gather pictures not only on a hard drive. You can find me here.
Grunge at Saint Laurent
Since Hedi Slimane turned creative director for Saint Laurent there has been a few changes. First of all it was the name-change, which towards the public is the biggest change. But another great and utterly relevant aspect is the move of the creative studio. From the brand’s headquarters in Paris to sunny Cali, in fact to Los Angeles. So for this collection the main inspiration has been Californian Grunge. From the music to the invites were L.A-ified, with soundtrack from a San Francisco grunge band and art by the L.A painter Theodora Allen. Honestly I fell head over heels for Slimane’s first collection for YSL. The S/S13 collection was mind-blowing. But I was disappointed for this one. Where is the Yves Saint Laurent legacy? The vintage florals feels very unsophisticated as well as the sparkly over-pimped details on the boots. The dresses are fine, well cute, and fits for L.A. But for a fall collection? I’m skeptical. The highlights were the plaided shirts and the oversized cardigans, as well as the massive baby pink fur.
Fashion week look
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
Espadrilles
Okey, so this spring is all about one particular shoe model – and that is the flat espadrille. I mean sure, they were an huge hype already last year when Chanel and Valentino released their logo and lace models, but they are still going strong for this year as well. And this season have not only Stella McCartney a few pairs in her collection (pink or yellow neon ones!), but also Fendi and Chloé. My favourites are still the Celine pair (since I got them myself).
Like a Lady
For this spring I have got this huge cravings of getting myself a classic bag. A leather piece that becomes your best investment in your wardrobe for an everyday use. I have been crushing on the model ‘Peek-a-Boo’ from Fendi, I think it is a really cool bag, quite unique, and just the perfect size as well (for me at least). When it comes to bags this year, I have seen a lot of fashionistas hitting a more subtle and classic style. All kinds of models from Valentino, Prada and of course, Hermès. Another famous fashion house that are up and coming among the hottest profiles in business is Dior. These leather pieces has, at least for me, been seen on a more immature crowd. But I kind of been digging them lately. Above from the top left: Fendi ‘Peek-a-boo’ in black, Valentino, Prada and Fendi. Underneath: Dior in orange and navy, Hermès Kelly bag and a classy Prada in black leather.
Valentino crush
I have the biggest crush ever on Valentino for the moment. There are som many great pieces in the Spring 2013 collection, I don’t even know where to begin! But my biggest fashion crush is the one I have on their leather goods collection as well as the shoe collection for this spring. I know that the studded collection isn’t new at all but there is something remarkable cool about this collection. Like the plastic see-through shoulder bag with beige details for an example, or the classic medium studded clutch in different kinds of colours and leather… When it comes to the clothing in this collection I can get enough of the girly yet very classy pieces, the lace and the mesh nor the snake print effects in everything from dresses to handbags. But the most amazing piece of all is the studded pvc trench coat (on the picture above). Well, it’s a great collection and hopefully we will see it in many stylish editorials and features this spring.
Wish Outfits
So I am not celebrating New Years here at home in the cold, that’s why I wouldn’t mind looking like these two wish outfits the coming days. First out (the one above) all white outfit: Balmain shirt with golden buttons, python clutch from The Row, gorgeous flared trousers from Stella McCartney, the ‘Tate’ suit jacket in white from Acne, studded silver sandals from Valentino, thin necklace with wishbone from Cornelia Webb and glasses from Balmain. Underneath, a bit more french and rock’n’roll with leather pants. shirt (again) from Balmain, watch from Cartier, sunglasses from Ray Ban, shoulder bag in dark grey from Céline and a pair of goregous lace-up boots from Balmain Spring 2013 collection. Just some classic and great pieces!
Dear Santa
Monica Sordo
I am in love with these bracelets from Monica Sordo! Amazing pieces from her self-titled jewellery line that was launched in October 2011. The pieces are available at Fivestory in New York, but I am not sure where to find the in Europe yet. For this season there is this stunning cuff in gold with fringes. Couldn’t find any good pic on in it, but I will keep you posted.
