The Last Magazine celebrate their 10th issue this Spring and Summer. To celebrate this the magazine has created ten different covers featuring models such as Malgosia Bela, Joan Smalls, Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik, Nadja Bender, Liu Wen, Iselin Steiro and Karmen Pedaru – captured by the best photographers within the industry. Above a picture of the the gorgeous Natasha Poly from inside the magazine. Underneath some of my favorite covers.
It is always workable and chic with a pair of blue shades. Above I have gathered three favorites for this season. First, a pair of Prada aviators with gold frames. These ones are just perfect and the shape and utterly cool. Second, the blue lens with black frames comes from Thom Browne by Dita. This pair comes from their Fall 2013 collection which is a follow up from their previous collaboration between the New York based Thom Browne and the high-quality manufacturing company Dita. The glasses are handmade in Japan and even though they have them on Mr Porter I would definitely say they are unisex. And least, aviators from Ray-Ban – the most timeless and effortless shade.
Danish Sophie Bille Brahe’s Spring and Summer jewelry collection for Weekday is now out called ‘Ensemble’. This is her second collaboration with the Swedish jeans and retail store, following up the AW12 collection. All the pieces are made from sterling silver and there are some amazing rings as well as a super cool cuff that I would like to grab my hands on (not on the picture). The rings are amazing and you can combine them in several ways. I dig the fact that she has made the entire collection in thin sterling silver which will make the pieces long laster.
So I was going through my archive of pictures, inspirational editorials, previous snapshots from last season’s runway etc., and I always end up with so much stuff on my mind. Like I spotted this snapshot above, from the Michael Kors SS12 collection, a simple leather sandals that is just super cool – a pair I wouldn’t mind at all get my hands on today. Unfortunately something that can be a bit tricky since it’s last year collection. But I did put together some nice styles that are available today from this season! From the top: Marni buckle strap leather sandal, Saint Laurent Paris ‘Woodstock’ flats sandal with golden details, Marni black leather sandal and ‘Alethea’ sandal from Greek Ancient Sandals.
These golden rings from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga are haunting me….badly. I bet am not the only one dreaming of them. I have spotted them in several web shops but they intend to sell out, well, quite immediately. Damn it. Will probably always regret not getting them along with this thin necklace from the very same collection of his.
Karmen Pedaru is featured in Pop Magazine S/S13 and looks absolutely stunning. She is styled in several key pieces from the ready-to-wear S/S13 collections such as the white mesh dress from Céline, the white dress with gold details from Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, nude sequin dress from Chloé and the baby blue dress with ruffles from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga. I love the fact that the make-up is so simple, which leaves all focus on the amazing pieces. The editorial is photographed by David Armstrong.
Okey I know there is a lot of posts regarding sandals for the moment, but in my defense, sandals is one of key accessories/shoes for this season! And why not just love and embrace a trend that makes our feet very happy? As I have figured, there is this love/hate relationship to the Céline fur slippers this season – either you love them to death or find them the most ugliest shoe ever. If you dig them you should definitely check out this pair above from Chloé. Without fur, of course, but similar model and cool details. You can find them here.
