When I walked home a week ago in East Village I spotted a girl wearing Birkenstock in white and they were honestly kind of cool. So I might go with a white pair, especially since I have a pair of Marni sandals that are almost the same in black and the Céline slip-ons. I would probably wear them as Ms Moss on the pic above, otherwise you get a bit too much of the hospital scene going on at your feet.

Celine Resort 2014
My favorite looks
I just had to post my favorite looks from The Row Resort 2014 collection, which are quite a few. As you know by now, I am a huge fan of theirs (and their personal styles as well). As always The Row delivers. I love the hues and the colors, canvas-beigen, olive green, navy, light grey, and the up and coming color (that not only The Row showed, but also Stella McCartney and Louis Vuitton) — light yellow. For this Resort line, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen said they were looking at uniforms — of sailors, of Japanese workers, of school children — for ideas this season. The thing about the Olsen twins is that they have this amazing eye for fabrics. They make pieces out of the best of the best materials and combine these in beautiful set-ups, like satin and denim, cashmere and canvas. As we can see they stay put to what they love and believe in. For an example they have always highlighted the flats, ever since The Row’s very beginning. And of course, it is implemented in this collection, as well as the semi-long and ankle-long skirts. Well, it is true love as always.
More Resort
The Resort lines for 2014 has been very strong and I have seen some amazing pieces and combinations. First of all, there were some fabulous looks from the Marc Jacobs Resort line of 2014 that I just want to copy straight away. I do not usually fall head over heels over his collection but in this Resort line there were some strong looks. There were pieces in silk, satin and fur styled with underwear and my favorite accessory for the moment – flats. Max Mara is also a brand that delivered. In their Resort line I had two looks which were my favorites which was the head-to-toe black and the head-to-toe white suit. Kind of dig the idea of pairing a cap to the more dressed-up-look, as well as styling the fur scarf, underneath the suit jacket.
Another brand with a strong Resort collection was Adam Lippes. Simple and effortless looks with that gorgeous feminine touches, such as satin robes and kitten-heeled slip-in’s. But there were also pieces that embrace masculinity with wide trousers and silk pants with sporty influences. I love these combinations and I am absolutely crushing over those heels for the moment… Wouldn’t mind them both in black and white (!).

The slippers
The Céline slippers are seen everywhere – in editorials so to speak. In Russh Magazine Spring 2013 Julia Nobis is styled by Gillian Wilkins in the talked-about shoe. I picked out some pictures from the spread above and I just love the last look – a white Stella McCartney S/S13 dress styled with delicate gold jewelry and of course, the gold embellished slippers from Céline. The editorial is photographed by Benny Horne.
Wish List
For the moment I have got black on my mind and I wouldn’t mind these cool pieces in my wardrobe. From the top left: black leather loafers from Hermès, leather bomber jacket from Filippa K S/S13 as well as leather skirt from Filippa K S/S13, beautiful satin top from Lanvin, embellished boots from the Saint Laurent Fall and Winter 2013 collection, stiletto sandal in snake from Jimmy Choo (I love these!), slip-in sandals in black leather with gold details from Ancient Greek Sandals, canvas and leather bag model ‘1968’ from Balenciaga and a pair of aviators ‘Luxe Mirrored Sunglasses’ from Linda Farrow.
Wish List
Here are some stuff on my mind that also qualifies on my wish list for the moment. I am all about tank tops right now, even if it’s a bit too chilly for it. But I stack it underneath my cashmere knits and hope that I can start showing them off soon. These two comes from T by Alexander wang, beauties. When the spring starts to come I want to change my knitted scarf to a thinner one, and I wouldn’t mind this leopard silk scarf from Saint Laurent Paris (just in at My Theresa). Shoes that I want; suede sandals in navy from Gianvito Rossi (love these) and the embellished fur slippers from Céline… Accessories; sunglasses from Prada and stack rings from Dries Van Noten (love the silver/gold combo). And I need to update my perfume collection (as well as my make-up) and wouldn’t mind trying the Dries Van Noten for Frederic Malle perfume and getting myself some Chanel make.

The Row FW13
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are, as you know, the creators behind the brand The Row. For this show the sisters rented an empty Upper East Side Town house for showing their collection for friends and press. The models walked through an amazing staircase and into different rooms showing off the styles. As always, the collection is impeccable sophisticated. The models wore tax heeled mules in red and black, styled with quite dressed evening looks such as satin dresses, suit trousers, tailored coat and jackets. Throughout the whole collection we could see some Asian and Oriental cuts, like the satin and embroidered coat, the high-waisted skirt and the deep v-necked dresses. It is an amazing collection from the sisters as always, and after the show Mary-Kate said “Without it being easy, we wanted it to be easy” which pretty much sums up this gorgeous fall collection.
