So I was going through my archive of pictures, inspirational editorials, previous snapshots from last season’s runway etc., and I always end up with so much stuff on my mind. Like I spotted this snapshot above, from the Michael Kors SS12 collection, a simple leather sandals that is just super cool – a pair I wouldn’t mind at all get my hands on today. Unfortunately something that can be a bit tricky since it’s last year collection. But I did put together some nice styles that are available today from this season! From the top: Marni buckle strap leather sandal, Saint Laurent Paris ’Woodstock’ flats sandal with golden details, Marni black leather sandal and ‘Alethea’ sandal from Greek Ancient Sandals.
Today I got a pair of All Tomorrow’s Parties sandals with the post. Couldn’t be more excited since I love them in, well, every model. I may have mentioned this before but it’s so cool that the sandals are made in 100 percent vegetable dyed cow leather, and made in Italy by local craftsmen. Love it! Anyway, a while back a boutique near by got a delivery of them and I couldn’t keep my hands away and I got myself the ‘Unni’ python sandal. And now I am so happy to received the same model, but in black from ATP. Thank you guys! I love them. I will definitely post some pictures later on when I start using them. A bit too cold for now, but soon I hope… If you like me love these sandals you should check them out here!
For the moment I have got black on my mind and I wouldn’t mind these beautiful pieces in my wardrobe! From the top left: black leather loafers from Hermès, leather bomber jacket from Filippa K S/S13 as well as leather skirt from Filippa K S/S13, beautiful satin top from Lanvin, embellished boots from the Saint Laurent Fall and Winter 2013 collection, stiletto sandal in snake from Jimmy Choo (I love these!), slip-in sandals in black leather with gold details from Ancient Greek Sandals, canvas and leather bag model ’1968′ from Balenciaga and a pair of aviators ‘Luxe Mirrored Sunglasses’ from Linda Farrow.
For the moment it’s snowing outside. My mind is totally somewhere else, not even close at bringing back boots, furs and big jackets. This time last year it was actually pretty sweet outside. Thank god that I have plans coming up. Anyway, since I just want to think about spring I am thinking about the trends for this spring. As I mentioned before, there is a lot of python coming up. Proenza Schouler and Valentino showed a lot of leather goods as well as shoes on the runway in python leather and print. Above I just put together some cool stuff that are available in store, or pretty soon at least. Pink-orange hued python PS1 and clutch from Proenza Schouler (as well as the neutral bag underneath), t-shirt from Equipment (how cool), kitten heels and clutch from Valentino, blue iPad case from Dolce & Gabbana and super sweet sandals from All Tomorrow’s Parties – that you can find online right here.
I am hooked on these sandals for the moment, from the swedish brand All Tomorrow’s Parties. The ATP Atelier was founded 2010 in Stockholm by two friends who has worked within the fashion industry for many years. The sandals are made in Italy by local craftsmen and the leather are only dyed in vegetable dyes instead of heavy conventional ones with chrome. They have so many nice models I can’t make up my mind of which ones to get! I love the pair in python, and since I will probably live in sandals this summer I must have at least one pair.
It’s been a lack of update lately here on the blog and I’m sorry for that. I went to New York a couple of days ago and it’s been super busy ever since! I’m having the best time here staying at Soho Grand. Anyway, I’m hoping to get some time for you so stay tune. In the meanwhile, say hello to one of my new additions to my closet! ‘Colette Sandal’ from Alexander Wang.
I believe that the Olsen sisters’ best collection so far is the fall and winter collection for 2011. It’s difficult to top a collection that great. Even though this collection for fall and winter 2012 looked stunning it didn’t have the same ‘touch’ of coolness as the previous one. For fall and winter the Olsen twins showed of an more elegant collection with luxurious details. It’s funny how they’ve used flat sandals throughout the whole collection, especially since it’s a fall collection, but at the same time pretty cool. Wouldn’t be wearable over here, but in L.A for sure. The highlight of this collection is definitely the hairy black bag and the see-through blouse.
Can’t stop thinking of this bag above from Givenchy, ‘Obsedia’. The model is perfect and I really need a bag in a smaller size. Where can I get it? On my mind as well: bracelet from Aurélie Bidermann and a lovely, lovely strap ankle sandal from Céline.
