Snapshots from the Spring and Summer 2014 shows backstage taken by the editorial team of French Vogue. At the top left: Stella McCartney, Olivier Rousteign, Alexander Wang, Isabel Marant, Peter Dundas (creative director of Pucci), the Mulleavy sister who are the genius behind Rodarte, Diane Von Furstenberg and Jack McCollough plus Lazaro Hernandez from Proenza Schouler.
Red is such a difficult color, at least for me. I don’t think I own anything red actually, sure I have got tons of burgundy accessories and pieces but no red ones. If I would implement it in my wardrobe I would definitely go with a bag. Red to denim, black and white are a beautiful combination, as well as red and melange grey. Above you can see three stunning pieces: Valentino Va Va Voom flap bag, Valentino studded clutch and Valentino Rockstud bag.
I spotted these two pictures on Stockholm Streetstyle the other day. Aren’t the looks just perfect for this in-between period that is right now? A great mix of materials, prints and colors. Love the navy turtle-neck to those stunning silk pants from Dries Van Noten (and the Proenza Schouler Lunch bag), as well as the burgundy top to that navy goat fur and grey stonewashed jeans.
One of the hottest trends for this spring is the pyhton print. You’ll spot in on everything from bags to printed t-shirts, dresses and shirts. Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler has made some amazing bags in eclectic colours using the python leather. Christian Louboutin show off some amazing heels in snake leather as well as Valentino. I like the python print a lot! A great substitute to all the leopard animal print that we have seen for a while now. Above you’ll find the classic ‘Papier Tote’ bag from Balenciaga in the latest python leather for the spring 2013 collection.
In the latest issue of ELLE France Ben Morris has photographed beautiful Liya Kebede, both for this editorial and for the cover. Kind of dig the simple everyday styling by Anne-Marie Brouillet, with the famous satin bird baseball jacket from Proenza Schouler, and the massive fur vest to the that jumpsuit in white from Agnes B. Simple chic french styling as it’s best.
Wouldn’t mind looking like this today at Christmas Eve: striped long-sleeved cotton top from Proenza Schouler, red burgundy pants from The Row, white coat from Baserange, see-through pumps ‘Bis-un-Boit’ from Christian Louboutin, a white small shoulder bag from The Row, a pair of goregous earrings in rosé-gold from Repossi and an id-bracelet from Maison Martin Margiela.
Pics from the Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2013 collection is now out. I was very excited about the PS pre-collection since their previous collections has been amazing. Overall the collection looks pretty great – very Proenza Schouler. A trip to Fuiji influneced the designers behind the brand, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. A black and white graphical printed pair of trousers, a skirt or a dress (a print that acutally is formed as the Proenza Schouler logo-print), black and white boxy leather jackets styled with thin knitted turtle necks and pointy black pumps and heeled sandals. I dig the blue and green-ish pieces in a metallic texture because they utterly breathes PS. The newest piece in the leather goods-section (a bag that is available in stores now) is the clutch called The Courier – a quite simple design that will probably become one of the brands cash sales hits.
