Sexy slingbacks from the ready-to-wear Emilio Pucci Fall and Winter collection 2013.
I am very impressed with Victoria Beckham’s Fall and Winter 2013 collection. There are some looks that are quite predictable and that I am not that fond of. But, there were some looks that were just stunning! I absolutely love that we have seen more and more designers working with pony-hair instead of fur or leather since it give pieces a very luxurious vibe. Like the college/bomber jacket above with the chocolate brown sleeves combined with glossy black pony hair, or the black dress with short sleeves styled over a basic skirt. I totally dig the styling of the models hair as well – side-parted uncombed hair in a pony tail with a light naturell make-up.
I am almost speechless because this was an amazing collection. I am just blown away by the simple, stripped down looks with that perfect straight hair and the bare legs combined with sleek gloves. I loved the skirts and the boots! That look is going to be my number one look for fall 2013. The materials and styles were mixed-up in perfection – v-necked cardigans combined with pleated leather skirts, over-sized knitted jumpers with miniskirts and pony-hair shorts with the boots. The collection was not all about the skirts and knitwear, I would definitely say that among the highlights were the white heavy coat and the wool trousers.
New York Fashion Week has just begun and as always, very exciting to see what the american designer brings to the table. First out we have 10 Crosby Derek Lam which was cool and smart looks for being his underline. I think the pointy shoes will make a huge comeback, no? Especially this kind, flat, chunky and very pointy.
I am hooked on these two looks for the moment, from the Resort 2013 collection from my absolute favourite brand, The Row. The all black vs. the all white look are such simple, yet effect full, way of dressing. That black pony hair and leather jacket are to die for, as well as the backpack with silver details….For the moment, I am also hooked on turtle necks (I guess because of the cold outside) and I like the simple way of styling it with a coat – and nothing more around the neck (no scarf, etc.) If I haven’t said it before, I must say that I am very impressed with the Olsen sisters work. Even at a such young age, they don’t capture the youth nor accenture it. Instead the sisters emphasising on a much more modern and hip, yet classic, look that work in wide age range as well as for a much longer perspective. And I love how they make everything so luxurious.
So I spotted these while back on Elin Kling. She got them a few months ago and I thought they were cool but not anything I would wear. And then, bam! I am obsessed (as with everything else…). So I started to look for them and they were sold out everywhere! But when I was in London, two week ago I went by the Tod’s store and they had one pair left, in 35,5! Yeez, trust me, I squeezed my feet so much until they were blue, but I just had to accept they were to small. So they’re still haunting me, even if I know I wouldn’t be wearing them for at least 3 months. But I have to have them, yup. Oh, the loafers are Tod’s and from their 2012-2013 fall collection.
