The editorial ‘From Paris with Love’ is featured in Antidote Magazine #6 for Fall 2013. Among the list of models you’ll find Leo Di Caprio’s girlfriend (above) the German model Toni Garrn (born 1992), all photographed by Victor Demarchelier.
For this summer, Louis Vuitton will release a new handbag model, which will be available in selected LV-boutiques around the world. The new model called W is created from the skin of different textures and colors with the shape that resembles the letter. Some of the bags variations are decorated canvas Monogram, velvety and embroidery on leather, inspired by the art of tapestry. The lining of the bag is made of fine suede. Inside the W, which strongly holds form, despite the softness of the material. Above you can see the burgundy one, without Monogram (the ones with it are pretty cool as well). The shape and size of the W bag makes it a great travel companion, and if I had to board somewhere I would definitely do it chic with the following wish-things: Rick Owens ‘Crater’ python jacket, Acne striped ‘Maurice’ skirt, Vanessa Bruno ribbed racer-back tank, Lindsey Adelman Rib-necklace, Roger Vivier Prismick shoulder bag, Nicholas Kirkwood mesh and suede slingbacks, Alaïa burgundy studded suede sandals, Byredo perfume travel case and a couple of magazines from Fantastic Man and The Gentlewoman, that you can find here.
I have so been curious to see when this amazing satin dress from Céline S/S13 would be featured in an editorial. In Numéro Magazine issue April 2013 model Aymeline Valade is styled in this beauty (the white satin on with black mesh details), along with other cool pieces from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga, Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Fendi, all styled by Franck Benhamou. I love have the looks turned quite raw with just adding the boots by Givenchy. Richard Bush is the photographer for this editorial.
I just love these pictures of Anja Rubik sitting in a sheer tank top and underwear smoking a cigarette in issue 38 of Self Service Magazine. From that pictures I put together some cool t-shirt that are available online and in store for the moment. From the left: white short knitted muscle tee from T by Alexander Wang, tank top in nude with ‘Music’ print from Acne S/S13, black v-neck from Acne (love this model), sheer tank from Acne, satin bralette and black leather bra from T by Alexander Wang and black mesh underwear from Weekday. The creme white satin bralette is just gorgeous and would look great to style with a white power suit.
Simple, sexy and fierce looks at Altuzarra Fall 2013 show. Black and white monochrome styles domimated the collection and were accompanied by fur coats and fur accessories – like the fur mittens (that we also spotted at the Alexander Wang show). The buckle details on the boots and the ankle shoes, well the total look of the shoes reminds me of the Guess Marciano x Elin Kling collaboration. Take a look for yourself here. Anyway, it’s a great collection for this fall and I am excited to spot in in editorials and on fashionistas for this fall.
Speaking of the Grunge-era, the 90s have had some major influential impact on the Spring 2013 fashion. Dressing up, and looking laidback, at the same time is very much the style of the 90s princesses, like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. Everything from halternecks to mesh dresses has been seen on the runway for this coming season. The mesh trend is still going strong and my favourite picks comes from the Céline collection (above) with the simple v-neck detail, and from Akris S/S 13 (underneath).
I have the biggest crush ever on Valentino for the moment. There are som many great pieces in the Spring 2013 collection, I don’t even know where to begin! But my biggest fashion crush is the one I have on their leather goods collection as well as the shoe collection for this spring. I know that the studded collection isn’t new at all but there is something remarkable cool about this collection. Like the plastic see-through shoulder bag with beige details for an example, or the classic medium studded clutch in different kinds of colours and leather… When it comes to the clothing in this collection I can get enough of the girly yet very classy pieces, the lace and the mesh nor the snake print effects in everything from dresses to handbags. But the most amazing piece of all is the studded pvc trench coat (on the picture above). Well, it’s a great collection and hopefully we will see it in many stylish editorials and features this spring.
I can’t say that I am head over heels blown away by the Stella McCartney spring 2013 collection, but I really do like the highlights in the collection. She makes these beautiful suitjackets in black or white with matching pants or skirts and they are perfection. I do find one more look somehow very cool – a military green oversized shirt paired with a slim, quite elegant, skirt with see-through mesh – and the oversized black suit-jacket matched with a low-waisted skirt and belt takes the laidback masculine, yet ‘powe-woman’ look to another level.
The spring 2013 Céline collection is one of the best ones I seen in a long time. I love the silk dresses and tops with the raw edges in soft colours like cream and light pink, as well as all the linen (!). The mesh details and tanks underneath the dresses. And the soft and slouchy clutches in eye-catching colours with a paper-bag-like-feeling are gorgeous. And trust me when I say, I am totally in LOVE with the fur sandals and the fur shoes in the collection.
