I know there has been a lot of Resort collections on the blog lately, but there has been so many good ones! I am absolutely overwhelmed by the spot on styles and pieces, not only by the brands I am usually obsessing over. The latest one to show is Masion Martin Margiela, and I am usually not a big fan, but this collection really surprised me. I love the white look above with the peacock coat, the knee-lenght of the dress and the thigh-high boots. I am all about simplicity and the feeling of effortless cool, and I think MMM nailed it in this collection. I mean, I definitely want that black jumpsuit (crepe-de-chin top with trousers) right now!
I know I rarely mention something about beauty, or speak about any of my beauty routines. But there are so many good products and news for this spring, I just have to mention a few favorites that are available right now. From the top left: the Swedish perfume house Byredo, founded by the super cool dude Ben Gorhan, has released a new scent called ‘Inflorescence’. The new release is a tribute to fresh spring flowers and contains fresh roses and pink freesias with a touch of jasmine and magnolia. Maison Martin Margiela has launched three new fragrances called ‘Replica’ with associations to places like ‘Flower Market’, ‘Beach Walk’ and ‘Funfair Evening’ – “Three fragrances that re-transcribe the scents that speak to all of us, resonate with our imagination, awaken our memories.” Both the scent from Byredo and Margiela are fragrances I have to try. When it comes to lip care I never use lipgloss, instead I have my favorite from Rosebud or Burt’s Bees. Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘All in One’ BB cream is one of the best containing SPF25. If you are going for some luxurious stuff for showering routines, you have to get the shower gels from Byredo – they are amazing! When still in the shower, apply the ‘Bronze Goddess’ from Estée Lauder. It is a body oil spray which make your skin super smooth and it smells like a tropical heaven. And at least a nail polish that will work your nails is this one from YSL in the color ‘Bronze Aztec’.
I really want this knitted cardigan with pearl embellishments from Maison Martin Margiela. Is on top (!) of my wish list for the moment. Big plus for it’s deep navy color and beautiful details. You’ll find it here.
Wouldn’t mind looking like this today at Christmas Eve: striped long-sleeved cotton top from Proenza Schouler, red burgundy pants from The Row, white coat from Baserange, see-through pumps ‘Bis-un-Boit’ from Christian Louboutin, a white small shoulder bag from The Row, a pair of goregous earrings in rosé-gold from Repossi and an id-bracelet from Maison Martin Margiela.
Here is a little gift guide for some fashionistas! For the fashionable jet setter: Del Toro ‘New York’ slippers in light grey suede, a Smythson note book called ‘Brunch Lunch Suppers Dinners’, a Balenciaga travel luggage bag, a croco embossed cosmetic bag from Alexander Wang, the most goregous shoulder bag right now – from Céline, a pair of hippie stylish sunglasses from Victoria Beckham, a camera from Edelweiss and some fragrences – these ones comes from Byredo and Grace.
For the golden girl: A golden choker from Chloé, set of gold-tone rings from Maison Martin Margiela, a sheer blouse from Acne, a golden jersey from Stella McCartney, a lovely reptile clutch from The Row, a YSL clutch called ‘Belle de Jour’ (with the old monogram), a super duper lovely fringe bag in metallic from Givenchy and a pleated skirt in creme from Giambattista Valli.
I came across this super cool editorial from 2009 and couldn’t resist posting it. The editorial shoot is from an issue of Dazed & Confused, where the Belgian model Anouck Lepère is running around at their office playing intern in her underwear. The editorial is photgraphed by Magnus Unnar and styling by Joanna Schlenzka for the October 2009 magazine. The editorial is called ‘When it comes down to the Bare essentials, Interning just ain’t what is cracked up to be!’ and I love the styling in almost all nude pieces. The thigh-high suede boots in light grey-purple with peep-toe are to die for!
Pictures of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection is out! Here above you find my absolute favourites. I wouldn’t mind get my hands on that hugely oversized peacock coat – exactly what I need in my closet right now. Or the black/navy suit jacket. Another great piece is the oversized white turtleneck jumper. I have to wait until 15th of November though.
Amazing pieces at the Maison Martin Margiela SS13 show in Paris the other day. The bustiers are so gorgeous – elegant but yet sexy. And once again we spot the slouchy trousers over the high-heel sandal, bare-shoulder tops and the showing-off-your-belly-trend. Great trends for spring and summer 2013!
