These hoop earrings from the Balmain S/S13 collection have been seen in a lot of editorials lately and probably more to come. The hoop earring-trend is definitely one of the strongest this spring when it comes to accessories. And of course, Balmain has made the utterly coolest pair. Have you been looking for these popular earrings and haven’t found them? Well, now you can get them here.
Golden jewellery are on my mind for the moment. Wouldn’t mind these bracelets above from Pierre Hardy or the Noemi Klein pieces. The ‘Branch’ ring is gorgeous and absolutely a piece to wear for an everyday use. The ‘Shrimp Fang’ hoop earrings are super cool as well. I am not sure where to find them in store but I know that Farfetch has them (best website ever). The cuffs from Pierre Hardy are also available at Farfetch.
Speaking of those amazing hoop earrings from Balmain…. If you can’t get your hands on the fabolous oversized pair from Balmain, there are some nice alternatives. Like the braided Bottega Veneta ones above. You can find them here.
Love the styling by Morgan Pilcher in this editorial from Vogue Australia February 2013. The huge loop earrings from Balmain are amazing! The earrings seems to be on every bloggers mind and wishlist for the moment… Can’t wait for the summer and to stroll around in waist short tops paired with gorgeous pants, very late 80’s and very ‘Miami Vice’! The editorial is photgraphed by Benny Horne featuring Cameron Russell.
A huge trend for the spring is loop-earrings. Balmain showed a fantastic pair in silver, here, for their spring 2013 collection. Even though they are amazing I would find them impossible to wear more than perhaps a few times going out. But for an everyday use I like loop-earrings but in a smaller version, like these créoles above. Stephanie Jewels mini creoles with chain in 14-karat gold are just to-die-for, and a perfect pair of earrings that you can wear every day.
I am very into the all white look (as you may know by know…). So I kind of did this copy-cat look from the Céline Spring 2013 collection. This is a look I would definitely go for New Years Eve. The suit jacket comes from Theyskens’ Theory, the pants are Gucci, the short belly top is the one I blogged about before from 3.1 Phillip Lim, the super duper nice shoulder bag comes from Givenchy and the pumps are Jimmy Choo. The accessories are Cornelia Webb (the thin silver necklace) and the beautiful loop earrings are Diane Kordas.
I am all about chunky bohemian and chic jewellry when I am going out. For an everyday use I like wearing more subtle and simple pieces but for dressing up I love wearing statement jewellery like my Lara Bohinc earrings. So when I found these beauties above, from the Australian brand Mezi, I fell head over heels in love. I wouldn’t mind wearing all of the rings, at once (!) since I love a chunky knuckle and mixing rings together. From their AW12 collection I found some earrings as well… Love the idea of styling them with simple pieces to create a focus around the jewellery. You’ll find them here.
This collection is not one of my favourites, I’m acutally a bit disappointed. Sure, the collection breathes Balmain but I’m not head over heels with the knotted pieces. Although there were of course some higlights, like the waist-studded belts styled with a classic suit or a denim shirt, or the huge loop earrings in silver styled with a braided ponytail and the fresh make-up, or the beautiful and classic pumps in silver and black, the wide trousers and the suede boots…
