I am all about soft colors and hues for the moment, and I prefer it to style it with washed black and adding a popping color – like the cobalt blue one here above. On my mind I have Balmain – above you see not only embellished ankle heels from their S/S13 collection but also the light powder pink shirt, the black dress and the beautiful retro sunglasses. The hat comes from the collaboration Acne Studios did with the italian brand Borsalino for this season (so cool, it’s available in yellow as well…), washed out denim jacket from Weekday (best budget line), cobalt blue loafers from Acne, tassle earrings from Eddie Borgo, see-through pvc bag from Valentino, studded leather clutch in black from Valentino as well and a cool detail for your bag or luggage – cobalt blue tag from Little Liffner that you can find here.

Grunge at Saint Laurent
Since Hedi Slimane turned creative director for Saint Laurent there has been a few changes. First of all it was the name-change, which towards the public is the biggest change. But another great and utterly relevant aspect is the move of the creative studio. From the brand’s headquarters in Paris to sunny Cali, in fact to Los Angeles. So for this collection the main inspiration has been Californian Grunge. From the music to the invites were L.A-ified, with soundtrack from a San Francisco grunge band and art by the L.A painter Theodora Allen. Honestly I fell head over heels for Slimane’s first collection for YSL. The S/S13 collection was mind-blowing. But I was disappointed for this one. Where is the Yves Saint Laurent legacy? The vintage florals feels very unsophisticated as well as the sparkly over-pimped details on the boots. The dresses are fine, well cute, and fits for L.A. But for a fall collection? I’m skeptical. The highlights were the plaided shirts and the oversized cardigans, as well as the massive baby pink fur.

Matching
This fall is all about matching your outfits to the ultimate and by that I mean wearing your pieces together. Like the Stella McCartney golden pyjama above or the beautiful and delicate light pink Rochas alpaca top and skirt. The three outfits above are my favourites for the moment. The klein cobalt blue top and skirt is Stella McCartney as well.
Blazer
Totally in love with this wool-blended tuxedo blazer from Haider Ackermann. Couldn’t be a better colour! I would style that deep rich purple-red plum blazer with either a pair of light pink wool capri trousers or a tight knee-long skirt, of course in pink as well. I’ve spotted a gorgeous one from Rochas that would be a match made in heaven with the tuxedo…dream on.
Céline
I know…
…it’s way too early to discuss scarfs, especially the ones in wool or angora. But, I was browsing at Acne Studios website and there were so many nice ones so I had to share. Pink, burgundy, red and grey – four colours I will definitely wear too much of this fall and winter. So beautiful together! You’ll find them here.
