I just spotted this fringe t-shirt from Acne Studios at La Garconne. I love the styling with the slouchy white 5-pocket leather trousers and the beige/nude Alma boots, also from Acne. The ‘Joshi’ fringe tee is available in white as well, but the black one is way cooler especially since this base is washed-out black – a beautiful contrast to all black fringes. If you like me love this tee, go get it here.
Phoebe Philo is absolutely one of the greatest designers of all time. Love her design for Chloé back in the days as well as Céline nowadays. Not only can she create beautiful looks, but she also dress impeccable cool with simple, classic and effortless looks. Always with the thought of less is more. There is an interview with Philo in the latest issue of Vogue US March 2013 and I have got to get that issue! On top of my to-do-list for tomorrow… Anyway, is not that difficult to copy her look. Invest in great basic and luxurious pieces with that not-so-obvious shape. For exampe, go for a pair of baggy leather trousers instead of the skinny ones. Underneath you’ll find a copy paste outfit: off-white wool coat from Céline, turtle-neck from Joseph, leather trousers from Elin Kling for Marciano, cabas shopping bag in python from Céline and sneakers from New Balance.
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
Love this look in so many ways – the red hat, the slouchy leather pants, the Spanish vibe and the gorgeous hair. Pic from the January issue of Vogue Russia 2013 by Paul Wetherell. In the same editorial you will also find some amazing rings… Can’t get them out of my mind! I think they are Delfina Delettrez but I haven’t got a clue of where I can find them. I have this really nice Maria Black ring that I use almost everyday, which reminds me of these ones. But one of the Delettrez rings would definitely complete the look.
So I am not celebrating New Years here at home in the cold, that’s why I wouldn’t mind looking like these two wish outfits the coming days. First out (the one above) all white outfit: Balmain shirt with golden buttons, python clutch from The Row, gorgeous flared trousers from Stella McCartney, the ‘Tate’ suit jacket in white from Acne, studded silver sandals from Valentino, thin necklace with wishbone from Cornelia Webb and glasses from Balmain. Underneath, a bit more french and rock’n’roll with leather pants from the lovely blogger Elin Kling’s collab with Guess Marciano, shirt (again) from Balmain, watch from Cartier, sunglasses from Ray Ban, shoulder bag in dark grey from Céline and a pair of goregous lace-up boots from Balmain Spring 2013 collection. Just some classic and great pieces!
A while back I got myself a pair of N.B – yes, a pair of New Balance sneakers. They are so comfy it’s ridiculous. Anyway, I just spotted this editorial in the latest issue of Vogue UK November 2012. Joan Smalls is styled in a pair of N.B sneakers – and in that perfect everyday look – a great chunky knit paired with baggy leather trousers or a maskuline coat. Super nice! The editorial is photographed by Karim Sadli.
My wish list is so loooong for the moment but here are four things I crave the most: a croco embossed black leather clutch from Little Liffner, a pair of soft leather olive green loafers from Tod’s (I am hooked on Tod’s for the moment, don’t know why), a pair of slouchy baggy leather pants from Gucci (the riding horse pants) and a cosy turtle-neck knit in grey melange from Jardin des Orangers.
White from top-to-toe, mint, net-details, the baggy leather pants, fur details (seen on the clutch), Asian/Chinese influence, the knee-high boots, the sporty look – a lot of trends in one collection. Too many if you ask me, even if the looks one by one looked great. Some of the pieces reminded me of a hybrid between Balenciaga S/S12 and Alexander Wang S/S12. I believe that the Proenza Schouler fall and winter collection is cool and yet very wearable, and I guess some pieces will be seen on many fashionistas very soon.
