The Winter campaign for the French house is yet again shot by Juergen Teller (with some mere exception for one or two seasons). The models are up and rising stars with barely no make-up and messy hair. Karly Loyce, Agnes Nieske, Lisa Helene Kramer, Irinia Djuranovic, and Sofie Fable Hansen are the faces you will probably see a lot more of in a near future.
The debut of the new magazine System is set to May this Spring and it is a deep-thought magazine about the fashion industry brought to us by an editorial board of very influential persons – Alexia Niedzielski & Elizabeth von Guttman (editors at Interview magazine and co-founders of Ever Manifesto), Jonathan Wingfield (former editor of Numéro), Thomas Lenthal (art director of the journal Paradis) and stylist Marie-Amélie Sauvé. Their aim is to explore the social environment of fashion in context of what happens when a designer leaves a fashion house or an e-commerce site overtakes a traditional retailer. First interview puts focus on Nicolas Ghesquière, who is photographed by Juergen Teller. I am really looking forward to this issue, not only because of the in-depth interview with Ghesquière but also since it is covering profiles such as Yves Carcelle and Azzedine Alaïa. For now, System will be released twice a year, and hopefully that will continue on.
I might be the last one posting this ad…but I just have to. The Céline Spring 2013 ad campaign featuring Daria Webory photographed by Juergen Teller is perfection. In the past, Céline has created some truly inspiring and to-die-for ads and this one isn’t an exception. The idea of wearing and pairing slippers with a smoking hot suit is genious, and makes this ad one of the coolest this spring.
