“Sculpture to me is as much a visual pleasure as is it is a tactile experience.”
Gorgeous earrings from the Brazilian designer Ana Khouri. Above you see her 18K Fair Trade Gold and white diamond earrings.
The price awarded duo Fredrik Nathorst and Jacob Skragge, founders of the jewellery studio All Blues, recently launched their new collection called “Hungry & Satiated Snakes”. The jewellery are inspired by a snakes constant ability of changing its shape and form, which is illustrated in the design of their new pieces. The 18 carat carved loops above named “Satiated Snake” earrings are available here (definitely a favourite of mine). Though I would not decline a hammered ring in either silver or gold, nor these very sleek and polished hoops. You can find the rest of the collection at their online shop All Blues.
The Céline slippers are seen everywhere – in editorials so to speak. In Russh Magazine Spring 2013 Julia Nobis is styled by Gillian Wilkins in the talked-about shoe. I picked out some pictures from the spread above and I just love the last look – a white Stella McCartney S/S13 dress styled with delicate gold jewelry and of course, the gold embellished slippers from Céline. The editorial is photographed by Benny Horne.
Golden jewellery are on my mind for the moment. Wouldn’t mind these bracelets above from Pierre Hardy or the Noemi Klein pieces. The ‘Branch’ ring is gorgeous and absolutely a piece to wear for an everyday use. The ‘Shrimp Fang’ hoop earrings are super cool as well. I am not sure where to find them in store but I know that Farfetch has them (best website ever). The cuffs from Pierre Hardy are also available at Farfetch.
You now by know that I am into delicate jewellery and this bracelet above are no exception. I really like the three oval linked rings that are connected to the 14 karat chain. Works perfectly with all my other bracelets. If you like it, you find it here, from Kristen Elspeth.
I really dig this super cool editorial in the January 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Spain. Carmen Kass is photgraphed by Nico in sportwear and traineers paired with beautiful fur coats. I love the combination of the unexpected match. I also like the idea that they have styled Carmen in luxury watches and jewellery, with the sporty pieces. Excersice in style right?
The french jeweler Dinh Van makes the most amazing minimalistic aesthetic pieces and there is no exeception for spring 2013. These golden earrings are truly fabolous and will be available in Dinh Van stores in April nex year. The semicircle shape is representing the half of a bull’s-eye which create a subtle and very chic shape on the ear.
I am in love with these bracelets from Monica Sordo! Amazing pieces from her self-titled jewellery line that was launched in October 2011. The pieces are available at Fivestory in New York, but I am not sure where to find the in Europe yet. For this season there is this stunning cuff in gold with fringes. Couldn’t find any good pic on in it, but I will keep you posted.
I’ve been hooked on delicate jewellery for a while now, I think it’s beacause it is so suitable not only for a day-look but also for a more elegant evening style. I love thin jewellery – necklaces, bracelets and rings. Here above you see some of my favourites for the moment, from Sia Taylor. At the top: silver and gold ‘Fringe’ necklace. Underneath: Sia Taylor ‘Big Dot’ bracelet and the ‘Fringe’ bracelet in white and yellow gold.
