Wouldn’t mind this short double-breasted wool jacket in my closet for fall. The New York based line Protagonist is the one behind this pieces and you can find it here.

Prada FW13
I loved the slickback hair, the pale make-up with the cherry pink lipstick on the Prada Fall 2013 show yesterday. The looks were amazing – materials mixed in perfect combination. The mink fur coats and the croco jackets are the collections big winners, as well as the black leather boots and the sky-high wedges in cognac. Through-out the whole collection there was one detail we could spot on several styles, and that was the off-the shoulder design. Knitwear and cardigans were created to show off the shoulders, a beautiful details that I truly love, even more than a bare back or a deep v-neck. When it comes to the accessories, the bags are probably going to be among the hits for this fall. My favourite was the oversized cosmetic bag in a bowling-bag model that the models carried like a clutch. Miuccia Prada worked with both soft plain leather as well as croco in neutral colours like dark chocolate brown as well as popping red.
Proenza Schouler FW13
There has been a lot of black and white graphics at New York Fashion Week this season, and Proenza Schouler is no exception. The exccentric duo behind the brand, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, has been working with tweed bouclé (with implemented leather) and guipure lace in this collection, a more sophisticated side that hasn’t been seen before. We could spot a lot of laser-cut details in the collection, both dresses and shoes. One laser-cut material looked like a fusion between leopard and hearts and made a beautiful pattern – a pattern that also was printed on the leather clutches in the model ‘The Large Lunch Bag’ (love the name). For this collection they have implemented fur details in the bags – we could spot shearling and black pony-hair (again!) that created a lovely combination between the coat and bag. There was one piece that was just absolutely amazing and that was the chain dress with hundreds of thin threaded chains all worked together in modern armour. Over all the collection was amazing and I love the idea of a slight more sophisticated vibe over Proenza Schouler but still remaining the playfullness and the utterly cool looks.
The Look
Love this look in so many ways – the red hat, the slouchy leather pants, the Spanish vibe and the gorgeous hair. Pic from the January issue of Vogue Russia 2013 by Paul Wetherell. In the same editorial you will also find some amazing rings… Can’t get them out of my mind! I think they are Delfina Delettrez but I haven’t got a clue of where I can find them. I have this really nice Maria Black ring that I use almost everyday, which reminds me of these ones. But one of the Delettrez rings would definitely complete the look.
Get the look
I totally fell head over heels with this previous editorial, ‘New York’ from the latest Vogue Paris. That is why I had to throw some things together to re-create a mix of the looks in the editorial. I just love the idea of taking on the Grunge-style in a bit more sophisticated way. Like pairing slippers with a classy trench coat or an elegant suit jacket in satin. Or giving the pleated/checked pieces an lighter feeling, like the Dries Van Noten shirt and trousers in checked wowen silk. Mixing heavy materials like wool and denim, with luxurious ones like silk and mesh, creates a flawless and very wearable look. On top left you’ll find: trousers from Theory, silver metallic jacket from Rochas, crepe and silk-blended satin tuxedo jacket from Guilietta, suede waist-belt from Alaïa, slippers with fur details from Céline S/S13, socks from Falke and leopard gloves from Alaïa.
Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013
Stella threw an amazing presentation for the launch of her pre-fall 2013 collection, and it was not her first time she did a happening like this. The show turned into a small party with a selected group of people invited where the models mingle with the crowd. Anyway, her pre-collection for this fall looked nice. I am not head over heels in love, but there were a couple of pieces that I liked. Stella is amazing when it comes to coats. The navy and black blocked coat was stunning, as well as the blue/turqouise one in a slighter more different proportion compared to what she use to do. Her strenght is within the suits and the navy two-pieced suit with gold buttons is a perfect example of that.
A Big Time Story
For Vogue Japan December 2012, Steven Pa has photographed Kasia Strauss for the editorial ‘A Big Time Story’. The feature, which is styled by Vanessa Traina, is full of statement pieces from the Fall and Winter 2012 collections, like the short tweed jacket from Stella McCartney, the famous pair of lace-up heels in white and navy from Balenciaga, the block-coloured Céline pullover and the red satin Haider Ackermann long-sleeved top. I like the editorial a lot, but I feel quite fed up at these pieces for the moment. Especially since we have seen them in almost every magazine during the fall. Looking forward to Resort and Spring 2013, and not one moment too late!
Go get Stella’s leopard
The Stella McCartney leopard pieces from her Resort collection 2013 has just hit the stores. Go get the leopard here! Super cool stuff, really. But I think I would get tired of them immediatley, especially since the leopard prints pieces has already gotten so much publicity everywhere, mags, blogs, events…. Love the things though. But I would wanna wear it all together, the top with the jacket AND the trousers!
