Okey, I feel like I am the last person posting this, but I just have to mention it – the Isabel Marant pour H&M collaboration. How fun? So fun! I am very excited about her Fall and Winter collection, so hopefully this turn out to be absolutely fabulous (and why shouldn’t it?). Although, I want to see something different. I don’t want to see the sneakers, nor the ‘Dicker’-style boot. Something Marant-ish, but in a new kind of way. Anyhow, the collection will be out in November this fall and hopefully it will contain one or two coats (!). I am really looking forward to see what coats and jackets she might design, I am keeping my hopes up that it will be a fur or a peacoat.

Spring has (almost) arrived! The sun is out and I just want to stroll around in light sheer pieces. Here is a look I wouldn’t mind wearing for tonight: ‘Merci’ leather jacket and off-white long-sleeve knitwear ‘Lia Tulle pullover’ both pieces from Acne Studios, python-print satin and lace pencil skirt from Erdem, off-white clutch with gold details from Saint Laurent Paris, ‘Ambre Gris’ Eau de Perfum from Balmain, crystal embellished pumps from Gianvito Rossi, aviator shades from Ray Ban, gold necklace with charms from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga and gold ‘Twosome’ necklace from Efva Attling.
For the moment I have got black on my mind and I wouldn’t mind these beautiful pieces in my wardrobe! From the top left: black leather loafers from Hermès, leather bomber jacket from Filippa K S/S13 as well as leather skirt from Filippa K S/S13, beautiful satin top from Lanvin, embellished boots from the Saint Laurent Fall and Winter 2013 collection, stiletto sandal in snake from Jimmy Choo (I love these!), slip-in sandals in black leather with gold details from Ancient Greek Sandals, canvas and leather bag model ‘1968’ from Balenciaga and a pair of aviators ‘Luxe Mirrored Sunglasses’ from Linda Farrow.
Wouldn’t mind these pieces in my closet for the summer; suede bomber jacket, black leather shorts and grey/beige slouchy suede boots from Isabel Marant, white t-shirt from T by Alexander Wang, PS1 medium suede satchel in tobacco from Proenza Schouler (on my list!), gold aviators from Prada and the limited edition (of 50 pieces) gold watch with black leather strap from Isabel Marant.
The most simple looks and outfits are the ones which appeals me the most from picture at the Fashion Weeks. The queen of Parisian chic is doubtless Emmanuelle Alt (above) looking great in a shearling coat with fur and a braided black belt in the waist, and (underneath) in black wool coat with satin details. Right behind Emmanuelle Alt, there are two parisians who dress impeccable cool as well and that are of course Capucine Safyurtlu and Géraldine Saglio. I read an article in the Net-à-Porter online magazine, where I found this spot on quote: “If anyone started the hands-free trend, it was the French. Hands are for front-row invites and smokes.” Very true, do we ever see the Parisians with a bag?
I loved the slickback hair, the pale make-up with the cherry pink lipstick on the Prada Fall 2013 show yesterday. The looks were amazing – materials mixed in perfect combination. The mink fur coats and the croco jackets are the collections big winners, as well as the black leather boots and the sky-high wedges in cognac. Through-out the whole collection there was one detail we could spot on several styles, and that was the off-the shoulder design. Knitwear and cardigans were created to show off the shoulders, a beautiful details that I truly love, even more than a bare back or a deep v-neck. When it comes to the accessories, the bags are probably going to be among the hits for this fall. My favourite was the oversized cosmetic bag in a bowling-bag model that the models carried like a clutch. Miuccia Prada worked with both soft plain leather as well as croco in neutral colours like dark chocolate brown as well as popping red.
There has been a lot of black and white graphics at New York Fashion Week this season, and Proenza Schouler is no exception. The exccentric duo behind the brand, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, has been working with tweed bouclé (with implemented leather) and guipure lace in this collection, a more sophisticated side that hasn’t been seen before. We could spot a lot of laser-cut details in the collection, both dresses and shoes. One laser-cut material looked like a fusion between leopard and hearts and made a beautiful pattern – a pattern that also was printed on the leather clutches in the model ‘The Large Lunch Bag’ (love the name). For this collection they have implemented fur details in the bags – we could spot shearling and black pony-hair (again!) that created a lovely combination between the coat and bag. There was one piece that was just absolutely amazing and that was the chain dress with hundreds of thin threaded chains all worked together in modern armour. Over all the collection was amazing and I love the idea of a slight more sophisticated vibe over Proenza Schouler but still remaining the playfullness and the utterly cool looks.
