The first look out on the runway from the Isabel Marant Fall 2013 was this one above. A very french, roch chic, laidback look with layered linen tanks and tops (with beautiful studs as perfect details), a pair of suede and leather leggings to a fabolous classic shearling coat. The looks were simple and cool, pieces to love and embrace in your wardrobe. I love the outerwear like the shearling coat as I mentioned, the black wool coat and the short black jacket with pony hair lapels. As for the shoes, I am not jumping high for the strapped ankle-boots (but I have changed my mind before). But I did like the black knee-high pony hair boots. Very Marant. She has created pieces that reminds me of her early days, when a look was completed with a jersey top, a pair of great suede or leather trousers and a perfect jacket. Of course topped of with a breezy and cool scarf.
For all you skater fashionistas – the Isabel Marant x Heritage Paris skateboard! How cool? The french boho-chic brand Isabel Marant teamed up with Heritage Paris to create a capsule collection. Isabel Marant herself is a fan of skateboarding and designed two boards, a cruiser and a longboard, both in light wood that will be sold in limited editions in the Heritage Store in Los Angeles.
I can’t get enough of Géraldine Saglio and her styling for the moment, and I really like her work for the latest issue of Vogue Paris December/January 2012/2013 (their smacked Christmas issue). She has not only styled iconic supermodel Christy Turlington shot by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, but also Malgosia Bela in a super cool editorial inside Ferber Studios photographed by Lachlan Bailey. So I have picked some of my favourite looks from the Christmas issue in this post. First out is Christy: love the tube top with a simple pair of black pants with a statement-belt, like this one from Balmain. Again, here is that belly peek….and perfectly styled with a pair of ankle-short black trousers. Super nice to add a pair of white shoes with that, even though I am a bit tired of those white pointy Céline pumps… In the ‘Le Ciel dans un Chambre’-editorial Malgosia looks super fly in a striped top paired with a red suede skirt as well as in the flared denim pants styled with a white thick knitwear. And hey, I want that Gucci horse-bit necklace in gold!
This is an old pic – but hey, is STILL going strong! Love the fringe-boots, reminds me so much about the ‘Mony’ (AW11) or the ‘Jacob’ (AW12) fringe boots, both from Isabel Marant. Very french and very chic – and timeless! The picture is from 2004, can’t believe it’s almost 9 years ago. From Self Service Magazine, featuring Anne Catherine Lacroix photgraphed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Suzanne Koller
Isabel Marant opened a brand new boutique in Paris a couple of days ago, on Avenue Victor Hugo. You will not only find the brand’s Ready to Wear collection in the store but also her accessory line with shoes and bags. The boutique is over 2,000 square feet in the heart of a Parisian three story mansion. Of course there were a lot of chic people mingling in the evening the doors to the boutique opened. Among others Doria Tillier (looking great in a star printed shirt), Marie-Ange Casta (second pic) and Jeanne Damas (looking chic in a Isabel Marant top and jacket.
Since it gets way too cold here in Sweden during the winter I really want to get myself a new warm and stylish fur. This one above is gorgeous and I am looking for something similiar. Can’t get that Isabel Marant ‘Thai’ fur coat out of my head that, nore this one from Isabel Marant. Pic taken in Paris by Stockholm Streetstyle.
