When I have free time I love to go out with friends, do yoga, read good books, & travel. I love art museums and theatre too and of course horseback riding.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I love working with all those talented people, amazing designers and photographers. When the team comes together, this inspires people & gives me the most pleasure. Also traveling: I visited so many countries where I would probably not get to by myself.
Tell us one thing about yourself that is surprising.
I love to wake up very early in the morning.
What inspires you?
Music is my biggest inspiration. I have a musical education, I studied at a musical school in Moscow, playing piano and studying voice. Also old movies inspire me.
What lessons have you learned during your years in the business?
Being patient and being truly myself, and also two languages: English and French a little.
Is there anything you haven’t done just yet that you’d like to?
Get to a ring racing school.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
10 years is very long time. Let’s see in 10 years.
Anna is absolutely on my so called girl-crush list, she is a true beauty. Above she is captured by Dario Catellani for Models.com.
The debut of the new magazine System is set to May this Spring and it is a deep-thought magazine about the fashion industry brought to us by an editorial board of very influential persons – Alexia Niedzielski & Elizabeth von Guttman (editors at Interview magazine and co-founders of Ever Manifesto), Jonathan Wingfield (former editor of Numéro), Thomas Lenthal (art director of the journal Paradis) and stylist Marie-Amélie Sauvé. Their aim is to explore the social environment of fashion in context of what happens when a designer leaves a fashion house or an e-commerce site overtakes a traditional retailer. First interview puts focus on Nicolas Ghesquière, who is photographed by Juergen Teller. I am really looking forward to this issue, not only because of the in-depth interview with Ghesquière but also since it is covering profiles such as Yves Carcelle and Azzedine Alaïa. For now, System will be released twice a year, and hopefully that will continue on.
Phoebe Philo is absolutely one of the greatest designers of all time. Love her design for Chloé back in the days as well as Céline nowadays. Not only can she create beautiful looks, but she also dress impeccable cool with simple, classic and effortless looks. Always with the thought of less is more. There is an interview with Philo in the latest issue of Vogue US March 2013 and I have got to get that issue! On top of my to-do-list for tomorrow… Anyway, is not that difficult to copy her look. Invest in great basic and luxurious pieces with that not-so-obvious shape. For exampe, go for a pair of baggy leather trousers instead of the skinny ones. Underneath you’ll find a copy paste outfit: off-white wool coat from Céline, turtle-neck from Joseph, leather trousers from Elin Kling for Marciano, cabas shopping bag in python from Céline and sneakers from New Balance.
I’ve totally got the Stella McCartney fever. Every piece of hers is flawless and just perfection. Pics from the latest issue of Interview magazine, April 2012. The dresses are to-die-for…if you have got some change over you’ll find them here.
In today’s issue of Metro Karl Lagerfeld was a guest editor for the newspaper. The paper featured interviews with Karl himself, Florence Welch and one of his nearest friends, Carine Roitfeld. In the interview you can read about her feelings to her nickname ‘Queen of Porno Chic’ and her relationship to Karl. But the thing I’m most excited about is her new launch of a magazine in september. She calls herself ‘Joan d’Arc’ of fashion when speaking of her new mag, since Carine wants to do something completly different from Vogue. I believe it’s going to be magical, can’t wait for it to hit the stands.
