One of the most iconic loafers of all time is the Gucci Horsebit loafer. This year the classic shoe turns 60 years, created in 1953. The loafers has been re-made in new colours and are available at both Net-à-Porter and My Theresa, in popping colors of suede and classic leather like black and white. Through the years the shoe has not only been loved and adored by fashion people but also royals and iconic legends.
I am very into the all white look (as you may know by know…). So I kind of did this copy-cat look from the Céline Spring 2013 collection. This is a look I would definitely go for New Years Eve. The suit jacket comes from Theyskens’ Theory, the pants are Gucci, the short belly top is the one I blogged about before from 3.1 Phillip Lim, the super duper nice shoulder bag comes from Givenchy and the pumps are Jimmy Choo. The accessories are Cornelia Webb (the thin silver necklace) and the beautiful loop earrings are Diane Kordas.
Gucci Pre-Fall 2013 collection looks super smashing! I love the chic and retro vibe through-out the whole collection. Military/olive green skirts and coats (my favourite colour for the moment, as you know...) are paired with light blue shaded pieces as well as grey knits and leopard jackets – a total homerun. The big buckle waist-belt is seen on almost every style and the accentuated waist is not only shown at Gucci, but at the Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2013 collection as well. This collection from Gucci is truly feminine with the obvious ‘Mad Man’ vibes and as the finishing touch the models has full and rich plum coloured lipstick matched with side-parted, waved hair. The one thing I would like to have hanging in my closet is doubtless the military green coat and the blue off-the shoulder dress.
It’s so hard to find a perfect leather skirt but, the doubtless coolest right, now is this one, the belted leather pencil skirt from Gucci, and I wouldn’t mind at all for it to be hanging in my closet. Perfect lenght and I love the belt-detail. Anyway, if you feel like spending a small fortune on a skirt, you’ll find it here.
I love the idea of wearing light colours when it’s getting darker outside – and especially when it’s the season of the year when everyone else is dressing in dark colours. This outfit above is truly symbolizing timeless chic – striped pullover and crocodile backpack from The Row, beige wool-coat from Vanessa Bruno, hat from Borsalino, mesh body from Saint Laurent, trousers from Alexander McQueen, ‘horse-bit’ loafers from Gucci and 18 karat yellow gold bracelet from Diane Kordas.
My wish list is so loooong for the moment but here are four things I crave the most: a croco embossed black leather clutch from Little Liffner, a pair of soft leather olive green loafers from Tod’s (I am hooked on Tod’s for the moment, don’t know why), a pair of slouchy baggy leather pants from Gucci (the riding horse pants) and a cosy turtle-neck knit in grey melange from Jardin des Orangers.
Fabolous pieces from the SS 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection from Gucci. What I like the most? The bare shoulder-pieces, like the top and the dress in black above. I’ve not only seen it in the Gucci collection but also at the Acne SS13 show that was presented now in London. Love it! Would be real pleased to see it in more collections for this spring.

Young designers from Institut Francais de la Mode were asked to take inspiration from Gucci’s famous bamboo bag and applying the principle of minimum environmental impact in their creations. The result, well you see it above. Very cool, wouldn’t you say?
