Yet again, Céline delivers an extra-ordinary ad campaign featuring beautiful Daria Werbovy for Fall and Winter 2013. I want to do a manicure and get red nails, as well as red lips when I see these pictures.
Yesterday Balmain launched their first hair products. According to the brand itself, the Balmain girl’s signature hair look is natural and shine with health. In this brand new line you can find everything from a misting spray called ‘Silk Perfume’ to ‘Session Spray’ – a spray that will (according to them) in an instant create those mussed locks and curls as the models on the brand’s runway has. I am not a big fan of hair products, but if I do use them they has to be natural (organic) and create that effortless look. You can find the products here.
Truly dig these first pictures of the Étoile Isabel Marant collection for fall 2013-14. I like the fact that Isabel Marant has gone back to her “roots” – creating pieces that are timeless and wardrobe staples, but of course with a great cut. I had a hard time to relate to the current collection (the Étoile S/S13 collection) with all the flower tunics and pants, owl-printed pullovers, pale colors (like yellow and baby blue) and star-printed jeans… That is why I totally embrace what I have seen this far. Super like on the peacoat, the thigh-high suede boots, the knit and the slight flared jeans with a simple, crisp white shirt. It is always workable and chic with a pair of blue shades. Above I have gathered three favorites for this season. First, a pair of Prada aviators with gold frames. These ones are just perfect and the shape and utterly cool. Second, the blue lens with black frames comes from Thom Browne by Dita. This pair comes from their Fall 2013 collection which is a follow up from their previous collaboration between the New York based Thom Browne and the high-quality manufacturing company Dita. The glasses are handmade in Japan and even though they have them on Mr Porter I would definitely say they are unisex. And least, aviators from Ray-Ban – the most timeless and effortless shade.
I must say I am starting to dig these boots from the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 collection. I wasn’t a big fan of the pimped-out ones when seeing the collection for the very first time. Somehow I just couldn’t cope with the fact that such a classy, timeless and fabulous brand as Saint Laurent when a bit mainstream and ‘hard-core’ showing of stuff that I basically could find at, well, Topshop (nothing wrong with Topshop though). I do love the fact that I have seen a lot of cool, timeless and classic pieces from the Saint Laurent in stores and web-shops. Apparently Hedi Slimane has created a ‘Permanent Collection’ that will be available all year around and which include pieces like leather jackets, denim, t-shirts and duffle bags that are all a great foundation in a wardrobe. I do like the idea of dividing the brand in such collections and lines. For the this campaign the creative director has captured Danish Freja-Beha Erichsen in the new Saint Laurent store in Paris (and the collection was a celebration of this new opening). Anyway the boots in this editorial is a pair I wouldn’t mind at all for this fall. By the way, great looks in this editorial from the latest issue of Vogue China, June 2013.
