From the Lanvin Resort 2014 collection. You can also spot the head-to-toe golden look in Gucci’s Resort 2014 collection and a golden pyjamas from Joseph Altuzarra.
From the Prabal Gurung Fall 2013 collection: satin, silk, embroidery, fur details, leather, military, harnesses and gold. Could it be any better? Don’t think so. I love army green and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the color not only in the wool and cotton military inspired jackets but also in the beautiful silk and satin dresses. Mixing black, gold and army green is just such an elegant and cool combination, and Prabal Gurung does it beautifully.
I have been seeing more and more of a certain bag lately, and that bag is the Fendi Baguette bag. If I remember it right, I think it was in the beginning of 2000 this bag was the it-bag among fashionistas. I was in 6th grade or something, but I remember seeing them in fashion mags along with the ‘J’Adore Dior’ t-shirt (pretty cool btw) and the matching sunglasses from the same brand with the blinged out flames at the frames. Anyway, the Baguette bag is actually an icon among bags, and since the trends are slighty heading more and more to the ‘Lady-Like’ look this one is a piece to count on. The bags underneath are the ones from the Fendi Spring 2013 collection.
Balmain celebrated the launch of their new bag, the ‘Pierre Bag’ with a dinner in New York for a couple of days ago. The bag is a collaboration with Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing and the super cool jewellery designer Aurélie Bidermann. The majority of the crowd who came were dressed in Balmain Ready-to-Wear S/S13 – pink suits, black and white prints, pearl-embroided vests and amazing dresses from the spring collection.
So it’s always this big fuss about the Septermber issue’s in the magazine world – since it’s the most important issue of the year. But I always love going through the next one, the October issues, because I always find the mags content so much better. All the biggest trends are already revealed so it’s always a more laidback and relaxed issue with a lot of good stuff. In the Vogue Paris October 2012 there is this gorgeous editorial featuring Iselin Steiro photographed by Glen Luchford. It’s shot at the riviera styled by Marie Chaix – and I must say great choice with adding that stunning Balmain suit in black to the editorial.
If you have € 4,512 to spare, this lovely piece, embellished with crystals, will be yours. From Emilio Pucci and you’ll find it here.
…gorgeous embroided cashmere sweater from Christopher Kane. You’ll find it here.
Slippers are the it-shoes for the moment and here are some of my favourites. From the top left: red velvet slippers from Charlotte Olympia, kitty embroided velvet slippers from Charlotte Olympia, red loafers with sequin skulls from Alexander McQueen, flower-embroided black slippers from Alexander McQueen, gold-embroided slippers from Miu Miu and black velvet slippers with sequin skulls from Alexander McQueen.
I got a huge crush on cool belts right now. I find them hard to find since I’m very picky when it comes to accessories. These belts above are to die for and I wish I could get my hands on one of them at least! From the top left and clockwise: white/black/golden belt from Balmain, black and golden belt from Balmain as well, thin golden waistbelt from Lanvin, star studded leather belt from Isabel Marant, black and silver belt from Isabel Marant and pearl-embroided waistbelt from YSL. And of course, I would want to wear the belts with a perfectly matched clutch either from Bvlgari (top) or Balmain and a pair of Isabel Marant F/W12 boots.
