In the latest issue of ELLE France Ben Morris has photographed beautiful Liya Kebede, both for this editorial and for the cover. Kind of dig the simple everyday styling by Anne-Marie Brouillet, with the famous satin bird baseball jacket from Proenza Schouler, and the massive fur vest to the that jumpsuit in white from Agnes B. Simple chic french styling as it’s best.
Sorry for the lack of updates but I thought, since it has been Christmas and all, you guys wouldn’t mind. Hope you all had an amazing Christmas with your friends and family. I thought I would get some of you out of the Christmas-mode and into the New Years-mode with this beautiful editorial from Vogue China December 2012. Liu Wen looks amazing in Dries Van Noten, Vintage Dior, Proenza Schouler, Balmain, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana. If you are a bit insecure of your choice of outfit at New Years, black and gold is a classic combination that always work. I myself is going to work something similiar, or anyway that’s what I had in mind for now at least…
First of all, great cover. Heather Marks looks stunning in an amazing Valentino gown. Second of all, that clutch from Louis Vuitton is amazing! So cool. I have begun to dig Louis Vuitton pieces – leather goods, clucthes, shoulder bags….you name it. Ok, not the cheesy one, by all means. But the cool and retro stuff. I’ll show you more what I mean later. Anyway, this cover is photgraphed by Xevi Muntané for Haper’s Bazaar Spain December 2012.
Vogue Netherlands is among Vogue Russia and Vogue Paris, one of the magazines that I find continously delievers cool editorials. This one, ‘C’est Moi’ photographed by Alique, is styled by Martien Mellema for their December 2012 issue. Naomi Nijboer looks super hot with a sweet 80s vibe in a tight turtle-neck and backslick.
I can’t get enough of Géraldine Saglio and her styling for the moment, and I really like her work for the latest issue of Vogue Paris December/January 2012/2013 (their smacked Christmas issue). She has not only styled iconic supermodel Christy Turlington shot by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, but also Malgosia Bela in a super cool editorial inside Ferber Studios photographed by Lachlan Bailey. So I have picked some of my favourite looks from the Christmas issue in this post. First out is Christy: love the tube top with a simple pair of black pants with a statement-belt, like this one from Balmain. Again, here is that belly peek….and perfectly styled with a pair of ankle-short black trousers. Super nice to add a pair of white shoes with that, even though I am a bit tired of those white pointy Céline pumps… In the ‘Le Ciel dans un Chambre’-editorial Malgosia looks super fly in a striped top paired with a red suede skirt as well as in the flared denim pants styled with a white thick knitwear. And hey, I want that Gucci horse-bit necklace in gold!
Special guest editor for the Vogue Paris December/January 2012/2013 issue is no more than the first lady of France, Carla Bruni. With her bohemian taste she shares her inpirations, musical preferences and more in this Christmas doubble-issue. As well as modelling for one of the editorials photgraphed by Mario Sorrenti, Carla Bruni also fronts the cover, snapped by Mert & Marcus, looking super fresh with her amazing fringe and a washed-out denim shirt. Editor in chief, Emmanuelle Alt, is a very good friend of Carla, and she said that “It has been a real pleasure to create this special Christmas issue with an old friend“. Pretty cool to have that opportunity. This highly maximized issue hits stores today, on Decemer 3rd.
So the December 2012 issues are hitting the stores as we speak and first out it is Vogue Espana. For this issue, Mario Testino has photographed Kate Moss, not only for this beautiful editorial, but also for the cover. A very elegant editorial with Spanish influences and Saint Laurent Paris-vibes S/S13 with the hats.
