I must say I am starting to dig these boots from the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 collection. I wasn’t a big fan of the pimped-out ones when seeing the collection for the very first time. Somehow I just couldn’t cope with the fact that such a classy, timeless and fabulous brand as Saint Laurent when a bit mainstream and ‘hard-core’ showing of stuff that I basically could find at, well, Topshop (nothing wrong with Topshop though). I do love the fact that I have seen a lot of cool, timeless and classic pieces from the Saint Laurent in stores and web-shops. Apparently Hedi Slimane has created a ‘Permanent Collection’ that will be available all year around and which include pieces like leather jackets, denim, t-shirts and duffle bags that are all a great foundation in a wardrobe. I do like the idea of dividing the brand in such collections and lines. For the this campaign the creative director has captured Danish Freja-Beha Erichsen in the new Saint Laurent store in Paris (and the collection was a celebration of this new opening). Anyway the boots in this editorial is a pair I wouldn’t mind at all for this fall.
