I must say I am starting to dig these boots from the Saint Laurent Fall 2013 collection. I wasn’t a big fan of the pimped-out ones when seeing the collection for the very first time. Somehow I just couldn’t cope with the fact that such a classy, timeless and fabulous brand as Saint Laurent when a bit mainstream and ‘hard-core’ showing of stuff that I basically could find at, well, Topshop (nothing wrong with Topshop though). I do love the fact that I have seen a lot of cool, timeless and classic pieces from the Saint Laurent in stores and web-shops. Apparently Hedi Slimane has created a ‘Permanent Collection’ that will be available all year around and which include pieces like leather jackets, denim, t-shirts and duffle bags that are all a great foundation in a wardrobe. I do like the idea of dividing the brand in such collections and lines. For the this campaign the creative director has captured Danish Freja-Beha Erichsen in the new Saint Laurent store in Paris (and the collection was a celebration of this new opening). Anyway the boots in this editorial is a pair I wouldn’t mind at all for this fall. By the way, great looks in this editorial from the latest issue of Vogue China, June 2013. Eliza Cummings looks effortless smart captured by Daniel Jackson.

Blood and Roses
Carine Roitfeld is one of those genius within the industry. Ever since her first day at Vogue Paris as the chief editor she kind of revolutionized and agitated the way of looking at fashion. Her point of view stated so much of what not only the fashion industry is inspired of and relied on, but also topics that are relevant and present in the society. Topics like plastic surgery, children as models and smoking were all captured in her editorials and it was always very contemporary with debates within the industry. Anyhow, in her semi-annual magazine-books Roitfeld is influences by her surroundings – like the birth of her grandchild in her first issue ‘Rebirth’. And as I have mentioned before, her second issue is inspired by ballet and contemporary dance. That is why through-out the book dance is the topics of her editorials. In ‘Blood and Roses’, the beautiful super-model Sam Rollinson is captured by Anthony Maule in poses inspired by the just dance and styled in gorgeous SS13 pieces like the Balenciaga bustier and the quirky fur pumps from Céline.
Karmen
Karmen Pedaru is featured in Pop Magazine S/S13 and looks absolutely stunning. She is styled in several key pieces from the ready-to-wear S/S13 collections such as the white mesh dress from Céline, the white dress with gold details from Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, nude sequin dress from Chloé and the baby blue dress with ruffles from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga. I love the fact that the make-up is so simple, which leaves all focus on the amazing pieces. The editorial is photographed by David Armstrong.
Suburban
In the latest issue of Numéro Tokyo April 2013 model Valerija Kelava is photographed by Laurie Bartley. I absolutely love the location, in the dodgy 80s suburban, with the sexy styling by Felipe Mendes. Why wouldn’t a housewife stroll around in a pair of yellow fur pumps from Céline paired with a silk dress from the very same collection?
Chloé sandals
Okey I know there is a lot of posts regarding sandals for the moment, but in my defense, sandals is one of key accessories/shoes for this season! And why not just love and embrace a trend that makes our feet very happy? As I have figured, there is this love/hate relationship to the Céline fur slippers this season – either you love them to death or find them the most ugliest shoe ever. If you dig them you should definitely check out this pair above from Chloé. Without fur, of course, but similar model and cool details. You can find them here.
Black or white
Anja Rubik is featured in the latest issue of Vogue Turkey. The magazine which is quite a rookie on the market (since 2010) deliver amazing and inspiring editorials every month. One of them is this this one with Anja Rubik showing of two simple looks. I love the fact of styling an all black look, black on black, as well as the white on white look. It is very effect full. Here above Anja is wearing pumps in black and white from Christian Louboutin, as well as Nicolas Ghesquiére for Balenciga, Sportmax and Céline. The silk satin tank in black/navy shade is Céline and just stunning. Wouldn’t mind it at all… The editorial is shot by Cuneyt Akeroglu.
Wish Outfit
With some inspiration from the previous post I am dreaming away with this wish outfit. I would love to have these pieces in my wardrobe. Silk peplum top from Balenciaga, suit jacket with satin details from Alexander Wang, sheer pleated skirt from Noma, fur slippers from Céline, satin bralette in black from T by Alexander Wang, papier bag with zip detalils and gold rings from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga.
The slippers
The Céline slippers are seen everywhere – in editorials so to speak. In Russh Magazine Spring 2013 Julia Nobis is styled by Gillian Wilkins in the talked-about shoe. I picked out some pictures from the spread above and I just love the last look – a white Stella McCartney S/S13 dress styled with delicate gold jewelry and of course, the gold embellished slippers from Céline. The editorial is photographed by Benny Horne.
Queen B
One of the most powerful and absolute coolest magazines on the market right now is The Gentlewoman. The magazine raises, highlights and features powerful woman not only from the fashion world, but also strong and cool women who influence – more like modern icons. ‘Modern women of style and purpose’ as The Gentlewoman would say. Phoebe Philo, Angela Lansbury, Adele are a few who been featured in the magazine. In the latest issue you will find the one and only Queen B – Beyoncé Knowles-Carter photographed by talented Alasdair McLellan. I just saw her documentary ‘Life is But A Dream’ and if I liked her before, I love her now. Such an amazing woman. Anyway, the Spring and Summer 2013 issue with Beyoncé is out now in stores, so go get it!
The Céline dress
I have so been curious to see when this amazing satin dress from Céline S/S13 would be featured in an editorial. In Numéro Magazine issue April 2013 model Aymeline Valade is styled in this beauty (the white satin on with black mesh details), along with other cool pieces from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga, Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Fendi, all styled by Franck Benhamou. I love have the looks turned quite raw with just adding the boots by Givenchy. Richard Bush is the photographer for this editorial.
