Blue shades

Blue shades - Prada aviators, Ray-Ban Pilot sunglasses and Thom Browne DitaIt is always chic with a pair of blue shades – especially to a crispy white shirt and a pair of perfect cutting blue denim jeans. Above I have gathered three favorites for this season. First, a pair of Prada aviators with gold frames. These ones are just perfect and the shape and utterly cool. Second, the blue lens with black frames comes from Thom Browne by Dita. This pair comes from their Fall 2013 collection which is a follow up from their previous collaboration between the New York based Thom Browne and the high-quality manufacturing company Dita. The glasses are handmade in Japan and even though they have them on Mr Porter I would definitely say they are unisex. And least, aviators from Ray-Ban – the most timeless and effortless cool shade ever.

Karmen

Karmen Pedaru in Pop Magazine SS13 GivenchyKarmen Pedaru is featured in Pop Magazine S/S13 and looks absolutely stunning. She is styled in several key pieces from the ready-to-wear S/S13 collections such as the white mesh dress from Céline, the white dress with gold details from Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, nude sequin dress from Chloé and the baby blue dress with ruffles from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga. I love the fact that the make-up is so simple, which leaves all focus on the amazing pieces. The editorial is photographed by David Armstrong.

On my mind

Wish List Balmain, Valentino, Acne, Little Liffner, Borsalino, Eddie Borgo and WeekdayI am all about soft colors and hues for the moment, and I prefer it to style it with washed black and adding a popping color – like the cobalt blue one here above. On my mind I have Balmain – above you see not only embellished ankle heels from their S/S13 collection but also the light powder pink shirt, the black dress and the beautiful retro sunglasses. The hat comes from the collaboration Acne Studios did with the italian brand Borsalino for this season (so cool, it’s available in yellow as well…), washed out denim jacket from Weekday (best budget line), cobalt blue loafers from Acne, tassle earrings from Eddie Borgo, see-through pvc bag from Valentino, studded leather clutch in black from Valentino as well and  a cool detail for your bag or luggage – cobalt blue tag from Little Liffner that you can find here.

Wish List

Spring Wish List - Saint Laurent leaopard scarf, Alexander Wang tanks, Céline slipeprs, Dries Van Noten Perfume, Chanel roughe, Prada sunglasses, Gianvito Rossi sandalsHere are some stuff on my mind that also qualifies on my wish list for the moment! I am all about tank tops right now, even if it’s a bit too chilly for it. But I stack it underneath my cashmere knits and hope that I can start showing them off soon. These two comes from T by Alexander wang, beauties! When the spring starts to come I want to change my knitted scarf to a thinner one, and I wouldn’t mind this leopard silk scarf from Saint Laurent Paris (just in at My Theresa). Shoes that I want; suede sandals in navy from Gianvito Rossi (love these) and the embellished fur slippers from Céline… Accessories; sunglasses from Prada and stack rings from Dries Van Noten (love the silver/gold combo). And I need to update my perfume collection (as well as my make-up) and wouldn’t mind trying the Dries Van Noten for Frederic Malle perfume and getting myself some Chanel make.

Cravings: Python

Python on my mind - Proenza Schouler bags, Equipment t-shirt, Valentino bag and shoes, Dolce & Gabbana iPad case, ATP Atelier sandalsFor the moment it’s snowing outside. My mind is totally somewhere else, not even close at bringing back boots, furs and big jackets. This time last year it was actually pretty sweet outside. Thank god that I have plans coming up. Anyway, since I just want to think about spring I am thinking about the trends for this spring. As I mentioned before, there is a lot of python coming up. Proenza Schouler and Valentino showed a lot of leather goods as well as shoes on the runway in python leather and print. Above I just put together some cool stuff that are available in store, or pretty soon at least. Pink-orange hued python PS1 and clutch from Proenza Schouler (as well as the neutral bag underneath), t-shirt from Equipment (how cool), kitten heels and clutch from Valentino, blue iPad case from Dolce & Gabbana and super sweet sandals from All Tomorrow’s Parties – that you can find online right here.

The fur slippers

Céline slippers Spring Summer 2013You can now find these bad ass slippers online, matter in fact at Luisa Via Roma. The baby blue ones right here, and the golden embellished slippers right here. If I would get me a pair I would just go all in and get the golden ones. I would definitely swag around in them all summer long.

Material mix

Street Style the Lunch bag by Proenza SchoulerI spotted these two pictures on Stockholm Streetstyle the other day. Aren’t the looks just perfect for this in-between period that is right now? A great mix of materials, prints and colors. Love the navy turtle-neck to those stunning silk pants from Dries Van Noten (and the Proenza Schouler Lunch bag), as well as the burgundy top to that navy goat fur and grey stonewashed jeans.

Chloé FW13

Chloé Fall 2013Clare Waight Keller has created a stunning collection for this fall. I just love the current Spring and Summer 2013 collection and had high hopes on this one, and she delivered! As always, a lot of Chloé-ish details, like the ruffled details on the sleeves, the skirts and dresses as well as the waisted belts that creates that beautiful Chloé silhouette. I have got a pair of favorites. First of all, I am in love with the chunky golden rings with the stones. They somehow reminds me of a collection I have seen before but I am not sure which jewelry line. Anyway, the grey shearling coat was amazing as well as the short bomber in tweed with fur details. The brown croco bag is a winner and it will probably hang on every fashionistas arm this fall. Although I think it has to many similarities with some Givenchy designs – it’s like a hybrid between the Antigona bag and the Nightingale. Maybe a winning concept though.

Like a Lady

Bags on my mind - Fendi Peek-a-boo, Valentino & Prada bags Spring 2013For this spring I have got this huge cravings of getting myself a classic bag. A leather piece that becomes your best investment in your wardrobe for an everyday use. I have been crushing on the model ‘Peek-a-Boo’ from Fendi, I think it is a really cool bag, quite unique, and just the perfect size as well (for me at least). When it comes to bags this year, I have seen a lot of fashionistas hitting a more subtle and classic style. All kinds of models from Valentino, Prada and of course, Hermès. Another famous fashion house that are up and coming among the hottest profiles in business is Dior. These leather pieces has, at least for me, been seen on a more immature crowd. But I kind of been digging them lately. Above from the top left: Fendi ‘Peek-a-boo’ in black, Valentino, Prada and Fendi. Underneath: Dior in orange and navy, Hermès Kelly bag and a classy Prada in black leather.
