For this summer, Louis Vuitton will release a new handbag model, which will be available in selected LV-boutiques around the world. The new model called W is created from the skin of different textures and colors with the shape that resembles the letter. Some of the bags variations are decorated canvas Monogram, velvety and embroidery on leather, inspired by the art of tapestry. The lining of the bag is made of fine suede. Inside the W, which strongly holds form, despite the softness of the material. Above you can see the burgundy one, without Monogram (the ones with it are pretty cool as well). The shape and size of the W bag makes it a great travel companion, and if I had to board somewhere I would definitely do it chic with the following wish-things: Rick Owens ’Crater’ python jacket, Acne striped ‘Maurice’ skirt, Vanessa Bruno ribbed racer-back tank, Lindsey Adelman Rib-necklace, Roger Vivier Prismick shoulder bag, Nicholas Kirkwood mesh and suede slingbacks, Alaïa burgundy studded suede sandals, Byredo perfume travel case and a couple of magazines from Fantastic Man and The Gentlewoman, that you can find here.
Spotted some great pieces in the Balenciaga Fall 2013 Capsule collection by Alexander Wang. I am utterly in love with the dress above (as well as the boots) and I just love the girly shapes and the androgyne styling. The way of styling a dress over a pair of trousers is just so effortless cool and something I must do for the fall. I have a hard time feeling comfortable in dresses (always feels to girly in some kind of way) and by styling the feminine garment with a pair of slinky trousers will definitely make me wear it more. I am also a big fan of the way Wang has worked with mixing materials together, like satin, velvet and crepe-twill, all in the same hue is such a beautiful way of creating cool pieces – and nobody knows it better than Wang. Double thumbs up for the new creative director!
Just came across my all-time favorite magazine’s website, Style By. I am not sure when they did it, but they have definitely updated their site and it looks great! I must say it was love at first sight! I love that feeling that arise when you discover inspiring pages that gives you that feeling of that you just want to browse around and see more! (especially when it comes to blogs, but it that never happens anymore…). Or do you guys have any favorite blogs that you can recommend except from the most obvious ones? Above and below you can see snapshots and editorial pictures from Style By’s Magazine.
Topshop’s more high-end brand, Topshop Unique, has been well-appreciated among fashionistas for almost 24 seasons now. Since the popularity of the line Topshop Unique is expanding and for next year there will not only be a Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collection but also a pre-fall and resort line. A selection of evening wear and accessories will be featured including georgette silk dresses and tailored jackets. As far as I am concerned, the first small resort collection that will be released in November, looks really nice. Simple, modern and easy pieces to wear both for an everyday use as well as for the evening. What do you guys think?
The polish super model has teamed up with the Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti in a collaboration for the brand. The small capsule collection contains not only glamorous shoes but also handbags. The Anja Rubik for Giusppe Zanotti shoes are now available in stores and online, and I must say it’s a great collaboration. It is not that surprisingly though, since Anja has great taste, something that pretty much I guess no one has missed. Her off-duty and street style looks are copied frequently and she tops the best-dressed lists more often than seldom. One of my favorite pieces in the collection is the black laced-up gladiator sandals, that you can find here. Yez, they give me huge cravings… By the way, how stunning doesn’t Anja looks in the ad campaign?
The cashmere and linen sneakers from the The Row collaboration with Superga. Love the fact that they are in cashmere (or linen) and wouldn’t mind them in either grey, black or creamy linen white. You can find them here.
So I was going through my archive of pictures, inspirational editorials, previous snapshots from last season’s runway etc., and I always end up with so much stuff on my mind. Like I spotted this snapshot above, from the Michael Kors SS12 collection, a simple leather sandals that is just super cool – a pair I wouldn’t mind at all get my hands on today. Unfortunately something that can be a bit tricky since it’s last year collection. But I did put together some nice styles that are available today from this season! From the top: Marni buckle strap leather sandal, Saint Laurent Paris ’Woodstock’ flats sandal with golden details, Marni black leather sandal and ‘Alethea’ sandal from Greek Ancient Sandals.
Speaking of that gorgeous vest from Stella McCartney…. I put together a safari inspired look for a vacation somewhere exotic. From the top left: Stella McCartney Georgina Utility Vest in khaki green, white tank from T by Alexander Wang, gold necklace from Repossi, chunky black ribbed pullover from Alexander Wang, ‘Shiney Drape’ skirt from Filippa K, t-strap sandals from K. Jaqcues St. Tropez, tanned leather ‘Pandora’ bag from Givenchy, silk scarf from Hermès, round-framed ‘Pascal’ sunglasses from Acne Studios, dark green ‘Obsedia’ clutch and olive green canvas luggage, both from Givenchy.
These golden rings from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga are haunting me….badly! I bet am not the only one dreaming of them. I have spotted them in several web shops but they intend to sell out, well, quite immediately. Damn it. The editorial is from the S Moda Magazine, Anja Rubik is photographed by Eric Guilleman for their April issue.
