Couldn’t, and wouldn’t (!) resist any of these bags from the Céline Pre-Fall 2014 collections. So obvious and such a easy target to go for, I know, but however Phoebe Philo knows how to create perfection – and how to get my cravings going. I would be surprised whenever I get sick and tired of her design…. I am actually wondering when I am about to stop nagging about Céline. But for now, I settle with the most fabulous bags ever. Top of my wish list? Even if it wasn’t a bag from Céline? It’s a python or crocodile luggage. I want embossed leather, preferable slight patent. Dream bag? An Hermès Birkin of course…. Black alligator leather with golden details.
Remember me talking about it here? Oh, yes I can’t take this bag off my mind. It’s basically hunting, me that’s for sure. It’s such a stunning bag, yet so different. And very 90s if you ask me. However, it’s a true classic and I just love it. Wouldn’t mind this one above hanging on my shoulder. You can find this Fendi Baguette bag in metallic here.
I am super crushing over the bags from The Row Fall 2013 collection for the moment. They have got so many nice ones, and I love the models in the dark navy leather. I am seriously thinking of getting myself a bag in navy for the fall. It is such a beautiful color to black. I have to wait a bit when it comes to The Row leather goods…. But I know that Céline has got some beauties in navy as well for the fall. I have to check them out.
I just had to show some of my favorite pieces from the Stella McCartney Resort 2014 line. I am totally in love with the one shoulder jumpsuit and the boxy python dress with long sleeves. We have been seen a lot of yellow fabrics in the Resort-collection for 2014, a light yellow hue, which also the Olsen-twins worked with in their collection from The Row. Stella paired her yellow dress with baby pink (!) mules, which also is a big trend for 2014. We will see a lot of pink, especially baby pink pieces. Overall is a nice collection from Stella McCartney, but I wouldn’t say I am blown away. Although there are some accessories which are making me quite excited, especially the black slouchy shoulder bag with white sides…
I just had to post my favorite looks from The Row Resort 2014 collection, which are quite a few. As you know by now, I am a huge fan of theirs (and their personal styles as well). As always The Row delivers. I love the hues and the colors, canvas-beigen, olive green, navy, light grey, and the up and coming color (that not only The Row showed, but also Stella McCartney and Louis Vuitton) — light yellow. For this Resort line, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen said they were looking at uniforms — of sailors, of Japanese workers, of school children — for ideas this season. The thing about the Olsen twins is that they have this amazing eye for fabrics. They make pieces out of the best of the best materials and combine these in beautiful set-ups, like satin and denim, cashmere and canvas. As we can see they stay put to what they love and believe in. For an example they have always highlighted the flats, ever since The Row’s very beginning. And of course, it is implemented in this collection, as well as the semi-long and ankle-long skirts. Well, it is true love as always.
The Olsen twin’s more price friendly line (comparing to The Row…), Elizabeth & James just showed their Resort 2014 collection. Oh yes, the resort lines have been dropping in one after another the latest couple of days. I love the resort lines, they are quite small but often highlights the most important trends for the coming season. In this collection I just loved the combination of styling denim with denim, the flat sandals, the skirts in knee-lenght and of course the headband (!). Love it, and I am so going to start using the ones I’ve got.
You haven’t missed the CR Fashion book’s tumblr right? I love the CR site and pretty much visit it every day since Roitfeld and her team cover everything from editorial fashion to the latest Daft Punk album and the Cannes Film Festival. In her editorial cover Carine puts a twist on wardrobe essentials. With model Xiao Wen, Roitfeld shows one of the most classical pieces of all time, a Chanel bag, in seven different ways. I love the fact that no matter what style you have, you can wear this timeless piece to it – from punk to hippie. The editorial is photographed by Max von Gumppenberg and Patrick Bienert, and styled by Carine herself.
