Spotted some great pieces in the Balenciaga Fall 2013 Capsule collection by Alexander Wang. I am utterly in love with the dress above (as well as the boots) and I just love the girly shapes and the androgyne styling. The way of styling a dress over a pair of trousers is just so effortless cool and something I must do for the fall. I have a hard time feeling comfortable in dresses (always feels to girly in some kind of way) and by styling the feminine garment with a pair of slinky trousers will definitely make me wear it more. I am also a big fan of the way Wang has worked with mixing materials together, like satin, velvet and crepe-twill, all in the same hue is such a beautiful way of creating cool pieces – and nobody knows it better than Wang. Double thumbs up for the new creative director!

Safari mode
Speaking of that gorgeous vest from Stella McCartney…. I put together a safari inspired look for a vacation somewhere exotic. From the top left: Stella McCartney Georgina Utility Vest in khaki green, white tank from T by Alexander Wang, gold necklace from Repossi, chunky black ribbed pullover from Alexander Wang, ‘Shiney Drape’ skirt from Filippa K, t-strap sandals from K. Jaqcues St. Tropez, tanned leather ‘Pandora’ bag from Givenchy, silk scarf from Hermès, round-framed ‘Pascal’ sunglasses from Acne Studios, dark green ‘Obsedia’ clutch and olive green canvas luggage, both from Givenchy.
A Sporty look
With influences from the previous post and editorial from the May issue of Vogue Paris, I wouldn’t mind look like this today – a sporty look wearable for day and night – with just adding a pair of heels. From the top left: Alexander Wang reptile silk infusion crop top in white, pleated pinstripe skirt from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga S/S13, grey suede baseball jacket from Isabel Marant, blister leather baseball hat from DRKSHDW by Rick Owens, black sneakers from Balenciaga, white and black crepe-twill and fishline top from Alexander Wang, both necklace and two-finger ring in gold from Maison Martin Margiela and leather trunk with gold zip from Saint Laurent Paris.
Joan Smalls
I am in love with these pictures of Joan Smalls for Monday Weekly China. Joan is styled by Maher Jridi in Balmain S/S13 pieces paired with Alexander Wang gladiator heels, Repossi and Cartier jewelry, Saint Laurent, Lanvin and Haider Ackermann. The editorial is photographed by John Paul Petrus. Speaking of Haider Ackermann, the brand has an amazing collection for this Spring. Check out some pieces at Net-à-Porter and Browns Fashion.
Wish Outfit
With some inspiration from the previous post I am dreaming away with this wish outfit. I would love to have these pieces in my wardrobe. Silk peplum top from Balenciaga, suit jacket with satin details from Alexander Wang, sheer pleated skirt from Noma, fur slippers from Céline, satin bralette in black from T by Alexander Wang, papier bag with zip detalils and gold rings from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga.
Back to basic

I just love these pictures of Anja Rubik sitting in a sheer tank top and underwear smoking a cigarette in issue 38 of Self Service Magazine. From that pictures I put together some cool t-shirt that are available online and in store for the moment. From the left: white short knitted muscle tee from T by Alexander Wang, tank top in nude with ‘Music’ print from Acne S/S13, black v-neck from Acne (love this model), sheer tank from Acne, satin bralette and black leather bra from T by Alexander Wang and black mesh underwear from Weekday. The creme white satin bralette is just gorgeous and would look great to style with a white power suit.
Wish List
Here are some stuff on my mind that also qualifies on my wish list for the moment! I am all about tank tops right now, even if it’s a bit too chilly for it. But I stack it underneath my cashmere knits and hope that I can start showing them off soon. These two comes from T by Alexander wang, beauties! When the spring starts to come I want to change my knitted scarf to a thinner one, and I wouldn’t mind this leopard silk scarf from Saint Laurent Paris (just in at My Theresa). Shoes that I want; suede sandals in navy from Gianvito Rossi (love these) and the embellished fur slippers from Céline… Accessories; sunglasses from Prada and stack rings from Dries Van Noten (love the silver/gold combo). And I need to update my perfume collection (as well as my make-up) and wouldn’t mind trying the Dries Van Noten for Frederic Malle perfume and getting myself some Chanel make.
Basics
I love basics and I am not loyal to any specific brand. Constantly I am looking for that perfect tee and white, grey or black hue. Even though I have plenty of striped t-shirts and long sleeves I can never get enough. For me the quality is the most important factor a long with style (of course). I really like the T by Alexander Wang styles (all of the above) but I find the quality real bad…. I mean I haven’t had a single one without default. Anyway, it’s freaking hard to find good styles so I wouldn’t mind these three tops in my wardrobe for now. I love the waist cropped white muscle tee as well as the striped t-shirt (perfect stripes). If you feel like me, you can find them here.

Wangs first show
According to many of the Balenciaga-fans, Nicolas Ghesquière was a genious taking Balenciaga to a whole new level in his fifteen years of service for the brand. I was skeptical at first to Wang, he is amazingly good of what he does but I still found it very odd when they announced him as the creative director for the franch brand. Anyhow, I must say I have been all wrong. I think this collection is surprisingly good. The Balenciaga silhouettes are still there, but in a slight different way. It’s elegant and raw, just like Wang’s own designs. I like the knotted silver bracelets and details on different pieces, the amazing deep green fur jacket and black suede boots. By the way, It’s going to be so exciting to see what kind of handbags and shoes Wang can design for Balenciaga that makes every fashionistas heart turnover (Ghesquière’s cash cw was the Motorcycle bag, and still is…).
