Absolutely love these first pictures of the Étoile Isabel Marant collection for fall 2013-14. I like the fact that Isabel Marant has gone back to her “roots” – creating pieces that are timeless and wardrobe staples, but of course with a great cut. I had a hard time to relate to the current collection (the Étoile S/S13 collection) with all the flower tunics and pants, owl-printed pullovers, pale colors (like yellow and baby blue) and star-printed jeans… That is why I totally embrace what I have seen this far! God, I love the peacoat, the thigh-high suede boots, the knit and the slight flared jeans with a simple, crisp white shirt. The ad campaign is featuring gorgeous Andreea Diaconu and is photographed by Karim Sadli.
The polish super model has teamed up with the Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti in a collaboration for the brand. The small capsule collection contains not only glamorous shoes but also handbags. The Anja Rubik for Giusppe Zanotti shoes are now available in stores and online, and I must say it’s a great collaboration. It is not that surprisingly though, since Anja has great taste, something that pretty much I guess no one has missed. Her off-duty and street style looks are copied frequently and she tops the best-dressed lists more often than seldom. One of my favorite pieces in the collection is the black laced-up gladiator sandals, that you can find here. Yez, they give me huge cravings… By the way, how stunning doesn’t Anja looks in the ad campaign?
Random snapshots from Hermès tumblr (which I know have been nagging about several times). You haven’t missed out on it right? Discover the Frenchs house tumblr here.
Every time on this specific period of the year I start to crave sunglasses. Along comes the problem of which ones to get (huge problem right…). Even though I think I have every shape – wayfarer, aviators, cat-eye, squared…and so on, I always want one more pair. For this season I have no idea of what I am looking for. I have been eyeing a pair from Céline but I haven’t found the right model. Underneath I have gathered some cool ones. From the top: Céline Audrey sunglasses in olive and nude, red-tortoise ones from The Row x Linda Farrow, tortoise sunglasses with green shades from The Row, gold asymmetric ones and tortoise ones (both) from Miu Miu, acetate frames from J.Crew’s collaboration with Cutler & Gross and aviator shades from Prada.
Daria Werbowy is not only fronting the latest ad campaign for Céline Spring 2013, but also the Maiyet campaign. I love the relaxed looks and the au-natural make-up/hair styling in the campaign and Daria looks amazing in that hair cut. The luxurious and boho chic brand Maiyet creates gorgeous dresses and sandals for that perfect relaxed vaccation look. Have a look for yourself, right here.
I am very impressed over the latest Hunkydory ad campaign and collection. The Swedish brand was founded in 1996 and for me this brand has always been quite dull and boring…until now. The creative directors and co-founders, Ulrika and Christopher Bjercke has done an huge face-lift starting with the F/W12 and continued on this spring. They combine the rock-chic bohemian look very well and is now called the ‘Isabel Marant of Sweden’. For this spring we will see a lot of white looks from Hunkydory, as well as fringe details and thin knitted jumpers styled with sequin pieces such as skirts and dresses. Love the white thin ‘cowboy’ belt and the romantic white blouse! I am really going to try to get my hands on that stuff this spring.
Speaking of Balmain, the Pierre Balmain S/S13 collection looks real nice. I haven’t spotted the pieces in stores yet (more than the tee’s), but I can’t wait to see more of it. Graphic white and black (which is huge right now) is mixed up with romantic, yet modern silhouettes. The collection is inspired by French glamour and the style of iconic Jeanne Moreau, who was a French actress in the 60’s. The campaign and lookbook feature model Anna Selezneva photgraphed by Karim Sadli.
Just spotted these pics from the Balmain ad campaign S/S 2013. Manon Leloup is looking absolutely stunning in pieces from the S/S13 collection. The campaign is styled by Joe McKenna and photographed by David Sims. I am very much into the light natural make-up by the talented Lisa Butler as well as the simple and effortless styled hair.
