Since I spotted this editorial featuring beautiful Kasia Smutniak in Vogue Italia March 2013, I kind of been having white shirts on my mind. I am always looking for the perfect white color, model, boy-friend-ish, and so on, and this editorial didn’t make my cravings go away… Love the simple look with the hair in a bun, the sleek watch and the hoop-earrings styled with the oversized shirt. It is such a useful piece and timeless piece in your wardrobe so I suggest you invest in shirt that is classic. Underneath I have gathered some cool, and classic, shirts that are available online right now. From top left: cotton-polpin shirt from Band of Outsiders, ‘Reese’ cotton-poplin shirt from Equipment, oversized striped silk and cotton-blend shirt from MiH Jeans and slender star-button shirt from Acne Studios.

Acne Capsule
Acne Studios has just released their capsule collection for Summer 2013. The collection is inspired by Eduardo García Benito’s graphic illustration of a woman’s face in profile, sketched for Vogue’s July 1931 cover. Jonny Johansson has designed graphite prints which he have been splashing across breezy summer dresses, voluminous skirts, super cool t-shirts, court shoes as well as baseball caps. The designer also refers to the Art Deco era, and mentions in an interview with Vogue Daily ‘Art Deco is the definition of modernism and classism combined’. I couldn’t agree more. My favorite from the capsule line is definitely the scarf, I am head over heels in love with the turquoise one with lime hints, and wouldn’t mind wearing in like the model underneath – tied like a bandana with the knot in front.
A hat and a scarf
Speaking of scarfs, I remember that Acne Studios showed a cool styling of the silk scarf in their Fall and Winter 2013 collection. The models were wearing satin and silk scarfs – like a bandana – underneath a hat. Such a simple way of styling yourself and apply in your wardrobe. By the way, I love the colors of the hats! Blushed pink, black and navy blue – beautiful colors, especially the pink hue in the Fall (style it with burgundy…love that combination). Anyway, this styling something I definitely going to copy paste for next season!
Black essentials
Above I have gathered some black pieces that can be your basic essentials in your spring closet. I love black and can’t get enough of it and find it so beautiful to wear not only in the fall and winter season but also when the summer is coming. From the top left: jersey dress from Rick Owens Lilies (here), sheer tank from Acne Studios, top from The Row with deep back, long sleeve washed out linen top from Étoile Isabel Marant, leather shorts from Isabel Marant, pleated skirt from The Row, satin belt from Lanvin from Net-a-Porter, leather sneakers from Nike (here), sunglasses from Ray Ban, black leather bucket bag from Balenciaga (love this one, you can find it here), black leather sandals from Marni at Farfetch.com and ‘Twin Mini Messenger’ shoulder bag from The Row that you can find here.
Wish outfit
I wouldn’t mind this look at all for today! From the top left: Lanvin hand embroidered leather jacket without sleeves, panel skirt in off-white from Blumarine, black tank dress with spaghetti straps from Acne Studios, canvas and leather tote (just in at My Theresa.com) from Victoria Beckham, black patent leather sandals with gold python straps from Christian Louboutin (just in at Net-à-Porter), earring in 18 karat rosé-gold from Repossi Jewelry, beautiful delicate 18 karat rosé-gold hoop earrings from Brooke Gregson and a pair of classic ‘Wayfarer’ sunglasses from Ray-Ban.
White look
Spring has (almost) arrived! The sun is out and I just want to stroll around in light sheer pieces. Here is a look I wouldn’t mind wearing for tonight: ‘Merci’ leather jacket and off-white long-sleeve knitwear ‘Lia Tulle pullover’ both pieces from Acne Studios, python-print satin and lace pencil skirt from Erdem, off-white clutch with gold details from Saint Laurent Paris, ‘Ambre Gris’ Eau de Perfum from Balmain, crystal embellished pumps from Gianvito Rossi, aviator shades from Ray Ban, gold necklace with charms from Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga and gold ‘Twosome’ necklace from Efva Attling.
The Fringe tee
I just spotted this fringe t-shirt from Acne Studios at La Garconne. I love the styling with the slouchy white 5-pocket leather trousers and the beige/nude Alma boots, also from Acne. The ‘Joshi’ fringe tee is available in white as well, but the black one is way cooler especially since this base is washed-out black – a beautiful contrast to all black fringes. If you like me love this tee, go get it here.
On my mind
I am all about soft colors and hues for the moment, and I prefer it to style it with washed black and adding a popping color – like the cobalt blue one here above. On my mind I have Balmain – above you see not only embellished ankle heels from their S/S13 collection but also the light powder pink shirt, the black dress and the beautiful retro sunglasses. The hat comes from the collaboration Acne Studios did with the italian brand Borsalino for this season (so cool, it’s available in yellow as well…), washed out denim jacket from Weekday (best budget line), cobalt blue loafers from Acne, tassle earrings from Eddie Borgo, see-through pvc bag from Valentino, studded leather clutch in black from Valentino as well and a cool detail for your bag or luggage – cobalt blue tag from Little Liffner that you can find here.
Back to basic

I just love these pictures of Anja Rubik sitting in a sheer tank top and underwear smoking a cigarette in issue 38 of Self Service Magazine. From that pictures I put together some cool t-shirt that are available online and in store for the moment. From the left: white short knitted muscle tee from T by Alexander Wang, tank top in nude with ‘Music’ print from Acne S/S13, black v-neck from Acne (love this model), sheer tank from Acne, satin bralette and black leather bra from T by Alexander Wang and black mesh underwear from Weekday. The creme white satin bralette is just gorgeous and would look great to style with a white power suit.
Celebrating Spring
In the April issue of Vogue Netherlands, Milou van Groesen is not only featured on the cover, but also in a story inside. The editorial ‘Plastic Touch’ is, according to the magazine, a celebration to the Spring. I am in love with the picture above, the white jeans, the mens watch that are a bit too loose and the black top, with a very deep cleavage. The messy hair and the colors in this editorial (shot in the evening) makes my cravings for a bit warmer temperatures even bigger.
