So I just recently discovered this cute, yet very cool, interior boutique in Palma de Mallorca. La Pecera Mallorca is the name of this very place, which not only offers great pieces of mid century furniture and modern pieces, but also creates the chicest espadrilles and hats on the island. I am going to Valdemossa on the west side of the island in August for two weeks and I have already put down several to-do’s while there. Last time I went I stayed at this magical little place. Nevertheless, La Pecera is a go-to boutique for sure and I can’t wait to get my hands on one of those hand made sombrero straw hats.
You will find La Pecera Mallorca on Calle de Victoria, 4, 07001 Palma, Islas Baleares.
La Fontelina Beach, Via Faraglioni, Capri.
If there is one place I would like to spend my vacation during the summer it’s the Amalfi coast, more specifically Capri. My first time at the small Italian island was four years ago and I fell in love instantly. The vibe, the people, the climate, the food, the rocks, the water, everything about it is so relaxing. Also you got some high-end shopping so if you get bored during the afternoons…. Anyways, my go-to beach is La Fontelina Beach and it’s not only my favorite hang-out. Dolce & Gabbana showed their haute couture show at the rocks a couple of seasons ago and after that this beach has been frequently updated by more than a few on different social medias. However, I can honestly say that you shouldn’t go there if that’s your reason to been seen. Its actually a very calm beach, no music, no loud buzz or whatsoever, only the chats from the restaurants, which have lunch sittings at 1 pm and 3 pm. You should alos consider booking your beds before you go here. Its known to be fully booked during the entire summer, especially during the weekends, and mostly by their habitués. Anyways, you won’t get disappointed.
Don’t miss out on the Alaïa apartment in Paris. The furniture and lighting within the interiors have been selected from a range of the designers’s favorites. Jean Prouve, Marc Newson, Arne Jacobsen, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Paulin and Andre Sornay.
