Here’s how I would love to look like today! ‘Kenta’ twill-satin top in crème from The Row (just new in at Net-à-Porter.com), black stretch-crepe trousers from Oscar de La Renta, gorgeous silk-satin headband from Jennifer Behr (on my must-have list for the moment…reminds me of the Céline SS13 knot for this season), Prada Teddy Aviator sunglasses in gold, gold watch with black leather band from Isabel Marant, shopper in python and calf-skin from Céline and a pair of super cool black leather slip-on sneakers from Givenchy (pre-fall 2013 collection).
I would say that this look above is the fashion saviour look. A great warming and stylish coat with a cashmere jumper, a perfect pair of leather trousers and suede pumps will do the trick for a fashionista in New York bouncing between the fashion shows. The white wool and mohair coat comes from Céline, cashmere jumper and black suit jacket from Balmain, leather trousers/leggings from The Row, studded clutch from Valentino, suede pumps from Balmain, sunglasses from Ray Ban, chain bracelet from Hermès and watch from Cartier.
Above you’ll find some of my wardrobe essentials, for this period of the year. 1. I love a huge oversize brim hat. Wear it instead of your beanie and you get a more sophisticated look. The one I have in my closet comes from Borsalino, but this one above is from Lanvin. 2. A chunky turtle-neck in a neutral colour. This piece goes with everything – leather pants and skirts, velvet pants, skinny jeans, you name it. This above is Joseph. 3. A pair of sunglasses are an amzing accessory even during the winter. These ones are my favourites in tortoise, from Alexander Wang. 4. An oversized clutch is a fantastic accessory to an everyday look. Try to go with one in an ususal colour, like the green pyhton one above from Céline. 4. A pair of heeled boots. Okey, these can be quite difficult to work in the snow but for a more dressed-up look they are gorgeous. These comes from the Balmain 2013 collection.
Balmain celebrated the launch of their new bag, the ‘Pierre Bag’ with a dinner in New York for a couple of days ago. The bag is a collaboration with Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing and the super cool jewellery designer Aurélie Bidermann. The majority of the crowd who came were dressed in Balmain Ready-to-Wear S/S13 – pink suits, black and white prints, pearl-embroided vests and amazing dresses from the spring collection.
It was actually a very long time ago I did the ‘Wish Outfit’-post so I thought it was about time. Okey, so today I would kill for wearing these stuff above – checked wool-blend coat by Giambattista Valli, brocade straight-leg trousers by Jonathan Saunders, rugged jumper from Alexander Wang, clutch from The Row (true love), cat-eye framed sunglasses from Prada, slippers from Christian Louboutin and a classic watch, ‘Tank Francoise’, from Cartier.
It’s finally Christmas Eve and this is how I want to look today. Sitting by the fire with my cool bag and high heels. Lol. I would love to dress in light colours in the winter though, and the opposite in the summer. But I rarely do. Pale pink sweater Moschino, white pants Stella McCartney, white fur gilet and rosé gold knuckle ring Maison Martin Margiela, shoes by Rochas (spring and summer 2012) and Proenza Schouler bag (also ss/12).
