Get the Look Hermès Spring 2013Speaking of Hermès Spring and Summer 2013 collection, I have gathered some key pieces for a vacation somewhere warm. From top left: Chloé silk-crepe and silk-blend organza top, orange plissé dress from Stella McCartney S/S13, tan leather sandals from Chloé, black bandeau bikini also from Chloé, canvas and leather luggage bag from Hermès, leather shorts from Isabel Marant, burgundy leather travel case for perfumes from Byredo, leather bracelet from Hermès and a pair of super cool braided suede sneakers from Bottega Veneta (these are actually from the mens collection… I wish they could do them for women as well! So cool.)

Phoebe

Phoebe Philo in sneakersPhoebe Philo is absolutely one of the greatest designers of all time. Love her design for Chloé back in the days as well as Céline nowadays. Not only can she create beautiful looks, but she also dress impeccable cool with simple, classic and effortless looks. Always with the thought of less is more. There is an interview with Philo in the latest issue of Vogue US March 2013 and I have got to get that issue! On top of my to-do-list for tomorrow… Anyway, is not that difficult to copy her look. Invest in great basic and luxurious pieces with that not-so-obvious shape. For exampe, go for a pair of baggy leather trousers instead of the skinny ones. Underneath you’ll find a copy paste outfit: off-white wool coat from Céline, turtle-neck from Joseph, leather trousers from Elin Kling for Marciano, cabas shopping bag in python from Céline and sneakers from New Balance.

Get the look - Vogue Paris Feb 2013 GrungeI totally fell head over heels with this previous editorial, ‘New York’ from the latest Vogue Paris. That is why I had to throw some things together to re-create a mix of the looks in the editorial. I just love the idea of taking on the Grunge-style in a bit more sophisticated way. Like pairing slippers with a classy trench coat or an elegant suit jacket in satin. Or giving the pleated/checked pieces an lighter feeling, like the Dries Van Noten shirt and trousers in checked wowen silk. Mixing heavy materials like wool and denim, with luxurious ones like silk and mesh, creates a flawless and very wearable look. On top left you’ll find: trousers from Theory, silver metallic jacket from Rochas, crepe and silk-blended satin tuxedo jacket from Guilietta, suede waist-belt from Alaïa, slippers with fur details from Céline S/S13, socks from Falke and leopard gloves from Alaïa.
