The Olsen twins are making a collaboration collection with the norwegian brand Bik Bok and the first pictures has now been released. Mary-Kate and Ashley are guest designing three collections that hits stores in August. I do hope for some good wearable pieces, I mean The Row, as well as Elizabeth & James, are just amazing so I have got all my fingers crossed. Hopefully the collections will be focusing on better quality use of fabric than the rest of the Bik Bok collections. I believe Bik Bok does a lot of great trend pieces but the quality is not that good, unfortunately… Ashley and Mary-Kate stated that they wanted to do a rock’n’roll collection but with a Scandinavian touch. By looking at the first released pictures it looks that we will see some great pieces – very Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent though…The twins will actually visit Scandinavia as well, I think they are coming to Stockholm for the release of the collections. Very exciting!
Okey, I feel like I am the last person posting this, but I just have to mention it – the Isabel Marant pour H&M collaboration. How fun? So fun! I am very excited about her Fall and Winter collection, so hopefully this turn out to be absolutely fabulous (and why shouldn’t it?). Although, I want to see something different. I don’t want to see the sneakers, nor the ‘Dicker’-style boot. Something Marant-ish, but in a new kind of way. Anyhow, the collection will be out in November this fall and hopefully it will contain one or two coats (!). I am really looking forward to see what coats and jackets she might design, I am keeping my hopes up that it will be a fur or a peacoat.
Danish Sophie Bille Brahe’s Spring and Summer jewelry collection for Weekday is now out called ‘Ensemble’. This is her second collaboration with the Swedish jeans and retail store, following up the AW12 collection. All the pieces are made from sterling silver and there are some amazing rings as well as a super cool cuff that I would like to grab my hands on (not on the picture). The rings are amazing and you can combine them in several ways. I dig the fact that she has made the entire collection in thin sterling silver which will make the pieces long laster.
The polish super model has teamed up with the Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti in a collaboration for the brand. The small capsule collection contains not only glamorous shoes but also handbags. The Anja Rubik for Giusppe Zanotti shoes are now available in stores and online, and I must say it’s a great collaboration. It is not that surprisingly though, since Anja has great taste, something that pretty much I guess no one has missed. Her off-duty and street style looks are copied frequently and she tops the best-dressed lists more often than seldom. One of my favorite pieces in the collection is the black laced-up gladiator sandals, that you can find here. Yez, they give me huge cravings… By the way, how stunning doesn’t Anja looks in the ad campaign?
I think you all remembered this hyped collaboration from last year? The Vans x Kenzo fourth edition of the signature shoe was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week FW13 and this time the two brands has worked with leopard print. The Clouded Leopard capsule collection is created by design directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim at Kenzo and the print was shaped during a trek in the Thai Jungle. The sneaker is available in ocher, orange, green, khaki and dark blue (and in the model Era) from March 15. A comfy and perfect everyday sneaker to lighten up your shoe wardrobe.
Gorgeous gladiator sandals as well as fringed heels at the Marios Schwab RTW Spring 2013 show. They are not yet in store but I think they will be available from March. The knee-high gladiator sandal and the t-strap flats are a collbaoration between Marios and Ancient Greek Sandals. I bought me a pair last year from Ancient and I love them. A reason to get me a new pair for the summer…
Silk pyjama shirt and shorts from the Marni for H&M collection. The collection will be released in selected H&M stores March 8th. I could totally imagine myself strolling around in this set with high heels and a gorgeous clutch. I really like the ‘pyjama’ trend, it’s so cool. However, the collection looked great, even though it’s not really my cup of tea.
