As always Vogue Paris delivers the most stunning editorials. This time a beauty editorial with maximum glamour styled by Clare Dhelens and makeup by Maxie Mace. You can find it inside their November 2013 issue with pics by Thomas Lagrange.
Swedish ex-model Cecilia Bönström is the creative director for the French brand Zadig & Voltaire. Above and underneath you can see some of her favorite beauty essentials. Among many products she uses Darphin’s hydrating kiwi mask, the Argan oil from Melvita, and organic skincare from OMOYE. Read the full story of her bathroom coverage here at Vogue Paris.com.

Yesterday Balmain launched their first hair products. According to the brand itself, the Balmain girl’s signature hair look is natural and shine with health. In this brand new line you can find everything from a misting spray called ‘Silk Perfume’ to ‘Session Spray’ – a spray that will (according to them) in an instant create those mussed locks and curls as the models on the brand’s runway has. Well, super exciting! I am not a big fan of hair products, but if I do use them they has to be natural (organic) and create that effortless look. You can find the products here.
For you guys who have had a hard time finding Byredo Parfums, now you can shop the swedish fragrances at Net-à-Porter. The full range of eau de perfumes and room fragrances are made in Sweden (as the swede I am I find it pretty cool). I for sure know my favorite (Gypsy Water), how about yours?
I know I rarely mention something about beauty, or speak about any of my beauty routines. But there are so many good products and news for this spring, I just have to mention a few favorites that are available right now. From the top left: the Swedish perfume house Byredo, founded by the super cool dude Ben Gorhan, has released a new scent called ‘Inflorescence’. The new release is a tribute to fresh spring flowers and contains fresh roses and pink freesias with a touch of jasmine and magnolia. Maison Martin Margiela has launched three new fragrances called ‘Replica’ with associations to places like ‘Flower Market’, ‘Beach Walk’ and ‘Funfair Evening’ – “Three fragrances that re-transcribe the scents that speak to all of us, resonate with our imagination, awaken our memories.” Both the scent from Byredo and Margiela are fragrances I have to try. When it comes to lip care I never use lipgloss, instead I have my favorite from Rosebud or Burt’s Bees. Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘All in One’ BB cream is one of the best containing SPF25. If you are going for some luxurious stuff for showering routines, you have to get the shower gels from Byredo – they are amazing! When still in the shower, apply the ‘Bronze Goddess’ from Estée Lauder. It is a body oil spray which make your skin super smooth and it smells like a tropical heaven. And at least a nail polish that will work your nails is this one from YSL in the color ‘Bronze Aztec’.
Totally in love with these two covers from the Self Service Magazine no. 38 Spring/Summer 2013 issue. The one above is featuring beautiful Bo Don in black, I think, Alexander Wang leather top/bustier (a lot of bustiers for the moment). And underneath, the one and only Anja Rubik. Absolutely one of my favorite super models of all times. Love her timeless and cool look. The covers are photographed by cool Collier Schorr, who said this about the covers: ‘A red lip is like a leather jacket, or a high heel: it says that someone is not afraid to be looked at.’ Pretty cool dude.
I know nothing about make-up or cosmetics. Sure, I’ve got my favourite stuff in my cosmetic bag but I’m not a fan of trying new things like lipgloss, lipsticks or eyeshadow. I don’t even own an eyeshadow. However, there’s an exception and that is nail polish. Even if I just use it once I really like to buy all kinds of polish. These above are so pretty. From the YSL spring collection.
