Absolutely love these first pictures of the Étoile Isabel Marant collection for fall 2013-14. I like the fact that Isabel Marant has gone back to her “roots” – creating pieces that are timeless and wardrobe staples, but of course with a great cut. I had a hard time to relate to the current collection (the Étoile S/S13 collection) with all the flower tunics and pants, owl-printed pullovers, pale colors (like yellow and baby blue) and star-printed jeans… That is why I totally embrace what I have seen this far! God, I love the peacoat, the thigh-high suede boots, the knit and the slight flared jeans with a simple, crisp white shirt. The ad campaign is featuring gorgeous Andreea Diaconu and is photographed by Karim Sadli.
Zara has got a super nice collection in stores for the moment. Although, I am more fond of their online shop than their actual store. I really dig their website especially since their way of exposing the pieces are truly inspiring. However, I browse around on their site just recent and I found this sleeve-less jumpsuit, paired with a flat pair of pointy pumps (or very low height at least…). Such an effortless and timeless look – very The Row and the Olsen twins-ish. You can find both the jumpsuit and the shoes here.
Géraldine Saglio has styled beautiful Edita Vilkeviciute for Vogue Paris Supplement June & July 2013. I love that olive/military green color in the summer, so beautiful to sun-kissed skin and golden jewelry… Reminds me of that I have to look for a loose-fitted army shirt. Editorial photographed by Gilles Bensimon.
Here’s how I would love to look like today! ‘Kenta’ twill-satin top in crème from The Row (just new in at Net-à-Porter.com), black stretch-crepe trousers from Oscar de La Renta, gorgeous silk-satin headband from Jennifer Behr (on my must-have list for the moment…reminds me of the Céline SS13 knot for this season), Prada Teddy Aviator sunglasses in gold, gold watch with black leather band from Isabel Marant, shopper in python and calf-skin from Céline and a pair of super cool black leather slip-on sneakers from Givenchy (pre-fall 2013 collection).
I am a big fan of Joseph. Their collection’s are just full of wearable and luxurious pieces and I hope you haven’t missed out their online shop? Now you get free shipping as well, so hurry! I find some pieces that I might lay my hands on, like this one – a cashmere and silk top with a deep v-neck, or these double silk trousers… Cravings! Above, two looks from their S/S13 collection, don’t you just love the wide-flared trousers in white? So cool.
Hooked on tumblr pages for the moment, and I know I recommended CR Fashion Book’s tumblr just a few days ago… But you shouldn’t miss out this one, the Altuzarra tumblr. Pictures and snapshots from the archive (like the pic above from their Resort 2012 collection) and daily news about the Atluzarra brand. By the way, how nice isn’t with classic Stan Smith’s? Not really the exact model in the picture, but similar…. Should really dig up mines, they are so cool. Hedi Slimane has done his interpretation on them as well, for Saint Laurent and you can find the white ones right here.
You haven’t missed the CR Fashion book’s tumblr right? I love the CR site and pretty much visit it every day since Roitfeld and her team cover everything from editorial fashion to the latest Daft Punk album and the Cannes Film Festival. In her editorial cover Carine puts a twist on wardrobe essentials. With model Xiao Wen, Roitfeld shows one of the most classical pieces of all time, a Chanel bag, in seven different ways. I love the fact that no matter what style you have, you can wear this timeless piece to it – from punk to hippie. The editorial is photographed by Max von Gumppenberg and Patrick Bienert, and styled by Carine herself.
For this summer, Louis Vuitton will release a new handbag model, which will be available in selected LV-boutiques around the world. The new model called W is created from the skin of different textures and colors with the shape that resembles the letter. Some of the bags variations are decorated canvas Monogram, velvety and embroidery on leather, inspired by the art of tapestry. The lining of the bag is made of fine suede. Inside the W, which strongly holds form, despite the softness of the material. Above you can see the burgundy one, without Monogram (the ones with it are pretty cool as well). The shape and size of the W bag makes it a great travel companion, and if I had to board somewhere I would definitely do it chic with the following wish-things: Rick Owens ‘Crater’ python jacket, Acne striped ‘Maurice’ skirt, Vanessa Bruno ribbed racer-back tank, Lindsey Adelman Rib-necklace, Roger Vivier Prismick shoulder bag, Nicholas Kirkwood mesh and suede slingbacks, Alaïa burgundy studded suede sandals, Byredo perfume travel case and a couple of magazines from Fantastic Man and The Gentlewoman, that you can find here.
