Finally Paris Fashion Week has started! Oh my, I haven’t had any time at all to follow the shows so I am going to go through them as soon as possible. I am looking forward to Céline and Balmain, as always, as well as Isabel Marant, and of course Balenciaga. The collection has just been shown and I am very excited going through the pictures since Alexander Wang is the new Creative Director. I think the fashion world has been holding it’s breath and been waiting anxiously for this show, so very exciting stuff! Anyway, I’ll be back tomorrow with a more detailed update. Hey guys! I have got some e-mails regarding how to follow the blog for exmaple on Facebook. Since I haven’t got a Facebook-page before, I just started one right HERE! Like, like, like and get your daily fashion dose now!
Oh, I want this one! Perfect carry all for an everyday use. Go get it here! From Balenciaga.
Totally in love with these two covers from the Self Service Magazine no. 38 Spring/Summer 2013 issue. The one above is featuring beautiful Bo Don in black, I think, Alexander Wang leather top/bustier (a lot of bustiers for the moment). And underneath, the one and only Anja Rubik. Absolutely one of my favorite super models of all times. Love her timeless and cool look. The covers are photographed by cool Collier Schorr, who said this about the covers: ‘A red lip is like a leather jacket, or a high heel: it says that someone is not afraid to be looked at.’ Pretty cool dude.
The it-rings of Spring 2013 are definitely the Balenciaga ones in gold… It feels like I have posted them a million times before but every time a see them, in editorials, covers etc. I just find them so perfect. They are the definite statement rings and I wouldn’t mind having them all. Unfortunately I haven’t seen them on any website yet, nor the Balenciaga website.
Phoebe Philo is absolutely one of the greatest designers of all time. Love her design for Chloé back in the days as well as Céline nowadays. Not only can she create beautiful looks, but she also dress impeccable cool with simple, classic and effortless looks. Always with the thought of less is more. There is an interview with Philo in the latest issue of Vogue US March 2013 and I have got to get that issue! On top of my to-do-list for tomorrow… Anyway, is not that difficult to copy her look. Invest in great basic and luxurious pieces with that not-so-obvious shape. For exampe, go for a pair of baggy leather trousers instead of the skinny ones. Underneath you’ll find a copy paste outfit: off-white wool coat from Céline, turtle-neck from Joseph, leather trousers from Elin Kling for Marciano, cabas shopping bag in python from Céline and sneakers from New Balance.
Gorgeous gladiator sandals as well as fringed heels at the Marios Schwab RTW Spring 2013 show. They are not yet in store but I think they will be available from March. The knee-high gladiator sandal and the t-strap flats are a collbaoration between Marios and Ancient Greek Sandals. I bought me a pair last year from Ancient and I love them. A reason to get me a new pair for the summer…
Daria Werbowy is not only fronting the latest ad campaign for Céline Spring 2013, but also the Maiyet campaign. I love the relaxed looks and the au-natural make-up/hair styling in the campaign and Daria looks amazing in that hair cut. The luxurious and boho chic brand Maiyet creates gorgeous dresses and sandals for that perfect relaxed vaccation look. Have a look for yourself, right here.
Golden jewellery are on my mind for the moment. Wouldn’t mind these bracelets above from Pierre Hardy or the Noemi Klein pieces. The ‘Branch’ ring is gorgeous and absolutely a piece to wear for an everyday use. The ‘Shrimp Fang’ hoop earrings are super cool as well. I am not sure where to find them in store but I know that Farfetch has them (best website ever). The cuffs from Pierre Hardy are also available at Farfetch.
