Here is a little gift guide for some fashionistas! For the fashionable jet setter: Del Toro ‘New York’ slippers in light grey suede, a Smythson note book called ‘Brunch Lunch Suppers Dinners’, a Balenciaga travel luggage bag, a croco embossed cosmetic bag from Alexander Wang, the most goregous shoulder bag right now – from Céline, a pair of hippie stylish sunglasses from Victoria Beckham, a camera from Edelweiss and some fragrences – these ones comes from Byredo and Grace.
For the golden girl: A golden choker from Chloé, set of gold-tone rings from Maison Martin Margiela, a sheer blouse from Acne, a golden jersey from Stella McCartney, a lovely reptile clutch from The Row, a YSL clutch called ‘Belle de Jour’ (with the old monogram), a super duper lovely fringe bag in metallic from Givenchy and a pleated skirt in creme from Giambattista Valli.
I wouldn’t mind one of these amazing fur coats in this cold. These coats are absolutely amazing! Peter Som is the designer behind the fur and these pieces are from his fall 2012 collection. My favourite is the grey/blue-ish one underneath. Lovely!
This is such a beautiful editorial with model Pau Bertolini by Alique photgraphed for the December 2012 issue of Vogue Netherlands. I like the delicate vibe and the simple styling with the boyish haircut, the red lips and the nude/apricot coloured nails.
If I could only wish for one thing it would be a Valentino shoulder bag. It’s definitely on top of my wish list right now. I really like the Va Va Voom bag in black but I kind of dig this petite one (underneath) as well.
I am very into the all white look (as you may know by know…). So I kind of did this copy-cat look from the Céline Spring 2013 collection. This is a look I would definitely go for New Years Eve. The suit jacket comes from Theyskens’ Theory, the pants are Gucci, the short belly top is the one I blogged about before from 3.1 Phillip Lim, the super duper nice shoulder bag comes from Givenchy and the pumps are Jimmy Choo. The accessories are Cornelia Webb (the thin silver necklace) and the beautiful loop earrings are Diane Kordas.
Okey, I know there’s a lot of Chloé-posts on the blog at the moment, but I can’t get the brand of my mind. Ever since Clare Weight Keller took over as the Creative Director in 2011, I have more and more fallen head-over-heels over the previous collections. I mean sure, Hannah McGibbon was almost some kind of rockstar within the business, and don’t get me wrong, she is a star, but there something very attractive with the ‘new-old’ design. Anyway, I just had to post these pictures from the Chloé Resort 2013 colletion. These three styles are my absolute favourites. I must have those wooden and black leather heels, they are amazing. Some Chloé Resort 2013 pieces has been released in the webshops already, but not yet these… Another piece that I am craving is the black off-the-shoulder dress. Beautiful!
This editorial with Doutzen Kroes in Vogue UK Januray 2013, photgraphed by Josh Olins, gives me major cravings for a long vaccation somewhere warm. I wouldn’t mind strolling down a beach in metallic silver shorts, bikins and flat sandals. I think that would be my number one gift on the wish list for this year. Anyway, a little to late to think about that now. But at the meanwhile, enjoy these beautiful and inspiring pictures instead.
The bags from the Lanvin RTW Spring and Summer collection 2013 are amazing! Black and white boxy leather clutches and shoulder bags with gold details are hanging on the models shoulders and in their hands. I love how they complete the runway looks in such perfect way. The vibes are truly glam chic as well as art-deco-style with the wood details as well as the material mix. I have never before been any particular into Lanvin leather goods (too many bows and too….cute) but this coming season will be a big exception.
“Everyone says ‘Japan is going to be your market'” said Acne’s Jonny Johansson when celebrating the new store-opening in Aoyama Tokyo, Japan last week. Plenty of Japanese It-girls came (for an example Chiharu above wearing Acne Spring 2013) as well as Carmen Kass (dressed in Acne, of course) and Rag & Bone’s David Neville. The whole evening had an unofficial Sweden-meets-Japan theme with an after-party at the former residence of the Danish ambassador. I believe, as everybody else, that Acne is going to be huge over there. So all the best to Jonny, Mikael Schiller and their team at Acne.
