This is the most amazing editorial I’ve seen in a long time. Love the coat, the wide trousers, the shirts – just the effortless chic approach. Kasia Strauss is shot by Knoepfel & Indlekofer and style by Veronique Didry for the September issue 2012 for Vogue Russia.
Amazing pieces at the Maison Martin Margiela SS13 show in Paris the other day. The bustiers are so gorgeous – elegant but yet sexy. And once again we spot the slouchy trousers over the high-heel sandal, bare-shoulder tops and the showing-off-your-belly-trend. Great trends for spring and summer 2013!
It was actually a very long time ago I did the ‘Wish Outfit’-post so I thought it was about time. Okey, so today I would kill for wearing these stuff above – checked wool-blend coat by Giambattista Valli, brocade straight-leg trousers by Jonathan Saunders, rugged jumper from Alexander Wang, clutch from The Row (true love), cat-eye framed sunglasses from Prada, slippers from Christian Louboutin and a classic watch, ‘Tank Francoise’, from Cartier.
What an amazing collection! I’m stunned! First of all, the suits. They are perfection – and I love the styling with the bandaeu tops and the bare bellys (as we saw on the Balmain show as well). And the rings! Yeez, the models wear chunky and thin rings in a perfect mix when showing of round ‘hat’-leather bags. The skirts were a huge favourite as well – very girlish and I like the white edges. Love the hair as well with the fresh make-up…. The hair-accessories were stunning!
It’s quite funny to see how amazed Isabel Marant is about the american culture. I mean, she did a lot of western inspired pieces in her fall 2012 collection and now she takes on the Hawaii-style mixed up with some italian-influences (read Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana). Studded belts and shoes, Hawaii-inspired prints, paisley-patterns and a lot of prints and embroidery in the SS13 collection by Isabel Marant. As always, Isabel Marant delivers a girly but yet sexy spring collection full of great statement pieces. She sticks to what she does best, beautiful tops, short skirts and shorts, lovely dresses and amazing shoes. My favourites? I want to get my hands on the flats black studded sandals, the golden accessories and the white one-shoulder-top. Love!
This collection is not one of my favourites, I’m acutally a bit disappointed. Sure, the collection breathes Balmain but I’m not head over heels with the knotted pieces. Although there were of course some higlights, like the waist-studded belts styled with a classic suit or a denim shirt, or the huge loop earrings in silver styled with a braided ponytail and the fresh make-up, or the beautiful and classic pumps in silver and black, the wide trousers and the suede boots…
Paris Fashion Week started this week and it’s absolutely the best week of them all. My fav brands are of course, Balmain, Isabel Marant and Balenciaga. Here above you see some details from the Balmain SS13 collection – bare belly (real hot) and slouchy trousers over pointy pumps – elegant and sexy. Stay tuned for some more coverage!
White-on-white and noir-on-noir is the right way to style it for a simple and modern look. My favourite piece every fall and winter is the menswear inspired coat – looks great to almost everything. Style it with a pair of slippers or loafers and you look hot, hot, hot. Editorial ‘Shape of the Season’ is shot by Daniel Jackson featuring Toni Garrn in US Harper’s Bazaar September 2012.
